The Marinhas de Sal is a Salt exploration area changed to a gastronomic and art work zone with tradicional portuguese and local products as the salt flower the old lady´s coffee and cuscurões. You can learn how they extracted the salt since old times, have a very cosy dinner in a wood house and do some souvenir shopping

Don't forget your camera. The salt pans are of various shapes and sizes. The area itself comprises of small handicraft shops selling salt and local pottery at very reasonable prices also some antique shops. There are also a few bars and restaurants in the village. There's a car park with the entrance next to the Chuarrasqueira Solar do Sal, where we enjoyed a meal. All in all definitely worth a visit. This place is suitable for all ages.
