We especially enjoyed the service. Very attentive and determined to get past the language barrier. The meat was delicious if slightly over cooked. The sausages were
really tasty. The beef was ok but forgettable. No rice and beans, only French fries
(Papa frites). The French fries were easily as good as any I have ever had. All in all
A nice change of pace from the plethora of fine seafood. In the end I will go to Big Ralph's next time.

RALPH JONES, British Chef, having worked in culinary institutions in the UK, opened his own business in Salinas - Ecuador. A casual restaurant offering modern and traditional British food, in addition to quality and high standards based on extensive experience.
I had the gnocchi. I was expecting something from a package, plopped into some water. I was wrong. Homemade, delightful, beautifully pan-fried with some butter and sage (where do you get SAGE here?). Owner was very friendly. Prices are a bit stiff but you know what? Why not, if they are going to go out of their way for quality?

We've eaten here three times and will return. I have had corvina with shrimp sauce and my husband has had that as well as shrimp cerviche and a beef filet. All were good. My husband's steak was huge. We each had vegetables (green beans and carrots) rather than rice or potatoes, and these were excellent. Prices were reasonable ($9 to $10 for each entree). They do have wine by the glass (not great but drinkable -- probably box). It's right on the Malecon with both indoor and outdoor Seating.

Italian gourmet ya cerro su puerta podras encontrar la nueva propuesta en CASA RABOTTI a una sola cuadra de el viejo restaurante
Service was good and friendly - and that's the positive comment about this place. When one of the plates arrived, it was still frozen in the middle (was a baked pasta), and the risotto we ordered was almost like a soup - so we had to send two plates back (would not normally do that in a place like this, but it was really bad). Besides that, we had some boring pasta and an average pizza... Will for sure not come back, though we visit Salinas often. For Italian in general I would recommend positano across he street or for pizza go to leños close by!

Not just the octopus the burgers the fish the veggies the steak everything wonderful. Probably the only restaurant in Salinas where you could literally at off the floor. I went to the ladies room and peeked in the kitchen wow so clean. Deserts a bit pricey but really really decadent.

Specialty meat and seafood, variety of menu in a lovely placeFall, in love with our unique atmosphere! Service and quality are our calling card. Enjoy our variety of menu.
It took us a year to finally eat at Sogale. We went to lunch with our Ecuador right hand man Jamie, liked the soup and sides so well, returned for dinner. I cannot say enough about the staff and menu items. If you prefer meat over fish they can accomodate you. We tend to go with what our server reccomends. At lunch, encellbolado - fantastic, at dinner fish with a side of ceviche. Prices are very reasonable, portion size perfect for the big guy I am and not intimidating to my wife. Desserts are excellent. Going to dinner there tonight.

Luccy brings a fusion flavor to Salinas, Ecuador. Her restaurant serves food ranging from Ecuadorian, Mexican and Italian and some in between. Stop by and try her tasty menu options; you will not be disappointed.
For those of you who remember Luccy's as a small hole in the wall its is time to return for dinner. The restaurant is now located in a walled courtyard 2 short blocks from the Malecon behind the Barceló hotel. The setting is lovely Parts of the courtyard are covered but most is open to the sky under a huge tree where you can see the stars and feel the warm evening breezes. There is a separate bar and the drinks are great. Luccy and her staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming. Menu is not too extensive but lots of choices and everything is fresh and made from scratch. Highly recommended

I was there for the holidays (Christmas/New Year's). As expected, Salinas was busy. The restaurant was also very busy. However, we were seated fairly quickly and the service was pretty fast considering the crowd. Food was high quality and fresh. Average sized portions and a decent price. It is worth going a couple of blocks off of the Malecon in order to eat there. All in all, a great experience!

The place was empty, but the night was young, I would not normally walk into an empty restaurant.
Went went in and were greeted by a nice lady who turned out to be the owner, where we sat down was comfortable.
The table was an old door, dark with age and ornately carved and covered with glass.
The menu was simple and an other lady came to us and explained the dishes.
All the food was made in house and served fresh.
As this is a local hang out we were told that it will not be busy until after 21.00, that is to late for us to eat and get the full flavor the the restaurant.
This is a place that we would return to so we can explor he local food.
