Very calm atmosphere and clean sands are what you can expect at Mobor beach.
On the flip side, you have to carry your own supplies of eats and drinks if you happen to visit in the off-season because the shacks here shut shop during the monsoons. But that should not be a hassle as there are wine shops and restaurants close by to cater to that and you can pick up things on the way to the beach.

Betalbatim Beach was less than 100 M from Nanu's Ressort where we stayed..
The Beach is very clean, with a large strip of sand that is over 1 Km in length.
Probably because it is lesser known than other Beaches like Colva, there was not much crowd on the beach.
We had the beach practically to ourselves in the mornings - so we walked, jogged, swam as we liked.
We were at the beach in the evening also to watch the brilliant sun set.
It was good to that they had a manned-life guard station. The Life Guard was quite active and alert - he did not loll around in the cabin..
Very glad that we chose to stay so close to Betalbatim Beach as we could visit whenever we wanted during the 3 day stay in Goa.

The Goa Chitra museum offers an evolving environment of living installations, public studios, and materials that provides an experimental context for investigating material culture, re-thinking process and practice, and developing new collaborative approaches. Goa Chitra is an active participant and an exceptional place for rethinking things in everyday and extraordinary life. Collection: The ethnographic museum displays over 4000 exhibits which were collected by one man over 25 years. The museum showcases the material culture of Goan's before electricity era and every implement is substantiated with researched documentation that dates back to hundreds of years of evolved wizen.
An incredible find in Goa was this ethonographic museum of implements used in Goa's past. The collection is immense and the time necessary to absorb it all is at least 2-3 hours. The guides were excellent and imparted a great deal of information about the very large variety and number of implements and conveyances displayed. The collection was created by Victor Hugo Gomes, from materials ( over 4000) he collected over 20 + years within Goa. There is a very reasonable admissions fee and the museum is open 7 days a week from 9 am until 6 pm..

A beautiful Church located in the tiny village of Betabatim, it is locally referred to as the Betalbatim Church.Very well maintained with a freshly painted facade and overlooking paddy fields, the entire area exudes calmness and tranquility. A must visit for travellers in the area. They could probably club it with a trip to the famed Martins Corner!

Sunday 26th November and it is the main festival of this Chapel, the festival of Christ the King , Christ Rei. It all started about 7.00am with a religious service and continued throughout the day and into the evening.
Later on in the morning there were further religious events with a procession along the road accompanied with a band. The music did boom out.
There were some stalls in the grounds of the Chapel selling sweets and other items and toys.
A stage was erected in the grounds for a play, drama/entertainment to take place later on in the evening.
The Chapel was decked in lights with a canopy erected to provide shade fromantic the Goan Sunshine.
A delightful spectacle.
