Welcome to an Eden hidden in the West Rand of Gauteng where beautiful nature welcomes visitors and the rushing water of the Witpoortjie Waterfall, gushing from a height of 70 metres, soothes and revitalises careworn city-dwellers. The garden is home to a pair of breeding Verreaux's Eagles (Black Eagles) which have become proud symbols of this majestic garden. Walking, hiking, picnics, exercising, bird watching, relaxing, nature appreciation, are some of the popular activities of visitors to the garden.
South Africa is very interesting and although the number of attractions are little compared to old countries it does worth a lot program yourself.
Today we visit this botanical Gardens! What amused me was not the variety of species, nope but the infrastructure! Fabulous even the trails to the top of the waterfall!
I imagined doing picnics there, watching Concerts there! There are is huge and there is nature everywhere!

Reliable Shuttles and Transfers is a Johannesburg based private shuttle service that sees our drivers take you safely to and from your destination of choice. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With our competitive pricing, friendly service and high regard for your safety we can guarantee your satisfaction.
We just recently used Reliable Shuttles from Bakubang, Pilansberg to Johannesburg. To our surprise Jack and Glynn arrived to transport us in person and our journey could not have been better! So much so, that we booked a follow up ride from JHB to the airport for our trip home to Canada. We had a fabulous journey, the price was right, and to add to the fun, Jack and I reminisced about the good old 70's. A great couple who made us feel completely safe and secure throughout our journeys. Jack even went the extra mile by taking us through my old neighbourhood so that my Canadian family could get a glimpse of where I was raised. Kudos, kudos, kudos to Reliable... we highly recommend their services!!

Outdoor court has entertainment for young and old. We went to the movies which was reasonably priced. Kids enjoyed the makeshift december beach and the water Fountains. Food prices are a bit steep at places. Barnyard shows are on special for december. Can definitely visit.

I was worried when Memory our waitress took our drinks order, because it looks like she was new.
But she was fantastic!
We had a lovely glass of wine and then the amazing food!
I had the Ceasar Salad, which was the best I ever had! Nice big pieces of chicken, boiled eggs, croutons, anchovies, not to much leaves, enough Parmasan cheese shavings, and a delicious ceasar dressing! Jummy!!!
Hubby had the Lemon and Herb de-boned baby chicken with chips, the chicken was smaller than usual, but enough.

Kloofendal is a Johannesburg City Park and is free, which makes it wonderful. There are hiking trains, braai areas, picnic tables, lapas, etc. The toilets on offer are really great for a public park. There are trails that you can hike, bird watching, or just sitting under a lapa on a picnic table. It's not a fancy place, but it's a peaceful place and lots of area for the kids to run wild.

Eagle Eye Safaris planned a wonderful safari adventure for me and my two friends. Karen and her partner Ernest handled every detail of our trip for us (excluding the airline reservation) making our trip a stress free experience. Planning an African getaway and safari can be an overwhelming and daunting experience. Karen and Ernest were very prompt in returning phone call or messages and they took care of things in a timely manner. Their recommendations were spot on. They arranged reliable transportation to and from both airports. Their attention to detail and specifics enhanced the fabulous experience we had. We didn't have to worry about a thing, it was all handled by them. Once we made it to Nokorho Bush Lodge, they were there to greet us and help settle us in. After lunch we were off for our first safari. Ernest is the photography expert but Karen shares his passion. Although their Safaris are designated as photography Safaris don't let that deter you! Out of our group, only one was into photography. Would definitely book with them again.

We had inquired to Capital Shuttles for our transportation needs to and from Ukutula Lion Park and they did not disappoint. Pickup from our hotel came when they said it would, actually a little bit earlier. Our driver was very nice, I think I remember his name was Eric, and he did a great job getting us to and from the park. I will recommend this transportation company to others when they visit the Johannesburg area. Thanks Capital Shuttles.

This is a must-visit experience for the entire family. Best is to take a picnic basket and sit on the lawns and watch these incredible micro-stream engines as the move around the 1km track.
This is run by a passionate group of steam engine enthusiasts who open this up to the public two times per months. Highly recommended for kids and the rides are only R10 per person and you should bank on having more than one trip.

Alice Art Gallery is much more than just an art gallery, it is a feel good place, where you can relax and forget about your daily cares, while enjoying a cup of tea in our wonder world, the maize in the garden, Cafè d' Art and a Shop called Alice. We believe our customers are drawn to the gallery for its large variety of art displayed. The gallery has recently expanded to over 1000 sqm wall to wall art.
We often have breakfast at the wonderful gallery. The art is wonderful and so is the restaurant with very relaxing outside area to enjoy breakfast.

We had to book in advance as the coarse gets filled up quickly. Green-fees were a bit steep for affiliated visitors , but the coarse is in excellent condition and a fantastic challenge. Some of the greens were in the process to be reseeded and should be in excellent condition within the next few weeks.
