Starting out as a small beachfront restaurant on the edge of the wild and mystical Atlantic Ocean, with splendid views onto the iconic Swakopmund jetty, The Tug's popularity has grown as time moved on. Dining areas inside and on the outside deck Terrace have been extended considerably, while the restaurant has become a culinary destination for travelers from around the globe. The Tug restaurant offers authentically prepared cocktails, a selection of more than 140 of the finest South African wines, French champagne. Special delights from the wild Namibian ocean include kingklip, kabeljou, lobsters, angel fish and sole, John Dory, local oysters, fresh green Swakopmund asparagus. The richly diverse menu includes stuffed Patagonian squid, prawns, Norwegian salmon, Sashimi tuna. For the carnivore there are tasty cuts of beef and tender lamb, in addition to game delicacies such as Oryx carpaccio or grilled Oryx steak, Surf & Turf. There is a wide selection for the vegetarian and our delicious homemade Spanakopita is a favorite. Both owner partners George Hopking and Brett Southworth believe that no successful establishment should rely solely on its popularity. They engage in consistent attention to quality and freshness of their products, as well as continuous training and motivation of their staff, in order to provide the customer with decent service and an extensive menu and wine list.
Located at the waterfront jetty - you pay a premium for the view - an ideal location for a special dinner overlooking the ocean. Menu mostly local seafoof with generous portions. Excellent seafood and professional service. Caters to tourists, but that’s what Swakopmund is about. Reservations recommended, if not essential.

We ate at Anchors twice and had the oysters grilled with cheese, (not a good choice) special surf and turf along with the calamari (grilled and fried). The portions are generous and unsophisticated and its a nice place on a hot day. There are only two toilets and the restaurant seats about 60.

Situated on the second floor of the Beach Lodge, with uninterrupted sea-views, beautifully presented delicious food with attentive service in an elegant environment, the Wreck Restaurant offers one of the best restaurant venues in Swakopmund.
Had dinner here one night with our group. The restaurant is housed in a fun ship shaped building (which looks nothing like a wreck), right on the beach. Upstairs dining room - with white tablecloth, comfortable padded chairs - has big windows facing west -...MoreThank you very much for the review. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed your dinner experience at The Wreck Restaurant. Your comment has been passed on to the Chef. Regards, Andre

Located on Swakopmund's historical iron Jetty which, after being closed for 10 years was renovated and reopened to the public by The Lighthouse Group on 6 August 2010. Breathtaking views looking back from the Atlantic ocean to land, or out to sea. A varied menu serving seafood dishes, sushi, steaks and more. Perfect for that romantic date or special occasion. A must for every visitor to Swakopmund
We came here for dinner after four days of self catering and were quickly reminded of the delight of creature comforts... had the tuna and honest-to-god goulash soup and both were divine. Staff is attentive and helpful, the location is particularly appealing. Prices were high for Namibia but mid range compared to Europe. The glass of red wine was a generous fill as well. Will go back for our second night because we enjoyed it so much.

A lovely venue, a fine selection of private cellar wines and exclusive rights to serve the premium meat produce of Namibia!
It seems that The Stellenbosch Wine Bar is nowadays the place to go for a drink or a meal in Klein Windhoek.
The elegant decor and the pleasant, lively atmosphere, combined with good food and excellent service cannot but be a recipe for success.
We enjoyed all our dinners there and definitely recomment to anyone in town!!!

Set in the very rustic environment, lots of crafty arts hung on the walls and food menu's filled with a solid sense of humour. Its a great place to grab a bite to eat and a nice cool drink before further exploration of the coastal region.

This is the kind of place that gets a lot of traction on tripadvisor due to the likable atmosphere in the restaurant, but unfortunately it doesn't meet the expectations. We took the buffet and found ourselves eating overcooked stuff. We ate in the back side of the restaurant and in order to get there we had to walk through the kitchen. Normally an open kitchen is a good sign. This time not. It was really dirty. There are not many alternatives in Luderitz, but the day after we ate in crayfish bar restaurant and the quality of the food is way higher and the service is way better (only the service is slow).

We provide teagarden fare serving light meals, cool drinks smoothies, milkshakes etc etc. Bookings for more substantial meals welcomed and will be provided. The teagarden is set in a succulent nursery tastefully landscaped amongst probably the largest variety of succulents in Namibia in addition to the teagarden and nursery there is a luxury campsite(Daureb Isib Campsite)
We stayed at the connected campside and in the morning we had breakfast/coffee and cake in the cactus garden. They bake there own cakes which are great and the made very nice cappucino's. Worth a stop.
