Peguera (translation from Catalan: "oven tar"; and the spelling on official road signs) is a tourist town in the municipality of Calvià on the island of Majorca (Mallorca in Spanish and Catalan), part of the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It has three large beaches and hundreds of hotels, hostels and apartments. The population is approximately 3,988 inhabitants. The town's name refers to the oven tar produced in this area from the pitch of pine tree resin.

A heavily developed stretch of beach lined with resorts, hotels and restaurants.
We spent a few gorgeous hours wondering around this small but beautiful formed resort in Mallorca. There is a small beach a few restaurants for refreshments. There are some lovely shops and some beautiful looking hotels. We had lunch at a beach side bar sat looking at the beautiful scenery and of course people watching.

A lovely walk to the beach through a wooded area. Lots of families enjoy themselves here. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The sea is calm in the bay.

Awesome golf course, we played twice in 3 days.
It's without doubt one of the best courses that i have played, and i have played many different courses.
Despite what you may read on here, the greens were in excellent condition, hit the line and it goes in.
It's not an easy course, you will have to plan your way round carefully, but you will be rewarded for good shots. Shot and club selection are king .
It's not cheap....130 euros each including buggy....which you will need ! but that is average sort of price for the area.
Club house and pro shop staff were very helpful and the food was excellent.

Fully guided, fully supported cycling holidays in Mallorca including bike hire
overall,very satisfied with the week
1 or 2 things do need improving tho,the wifi is not standard in rooms and needs to be accessed in the reception area,it was very weak/slow&frustrating to deal with
on the group rides, there was no food given out by the staff, except what you had to pay for at the local cafes& this was not cheap either, surely, some bananas/energy bars could be given out either on the ride stop or at the hotel before we set off

CCA Andratx is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of Contemporary Art. It offers a unique cultural experience, and the Studio Program is open to national and international artists. The CCA Andratx was founded in 2001 by Jacob and Patricia Asbaek. The 4.000 M2 building has a minimal but traditional style that is perfectly integrated in the breathtaking natural scenery of its surroundings. CCA is one of the largest centres of Contemporary Art in the Balearic Islands as well as in the rest of Europe.
Just returned from a visit. We had the Sunday brunch which is a bargain. All food and wine, as much as you want , for 17 euros.
The setting is beautiful, staff fantastic. This really is a hidden gem and deserves to be appreciated more.
Art work very interesting and the space and building amazing. Go you won't be disappointed.

Lovely sandy beach, not too big but comfortable. The sea stays in all the time and is very warm. The beach slopes slowly into the sea and you can walk out a fair distance before you can swim so it makes it very safe for little children. The sunbeds are not cheap but there are plenty of them all with shades.
One of the good things about this area and beach is there are no "lookie lookie" salesman pestering you all the time. We did see one on the beach. The are plenty of bars and restaurants on the beach edge to get something to eat or drinks or just cool of for a bit.
The only disappointment was the beach showers didn't work but we found out that was due to the drought they were having on the island.

The holy cross is situated on top of the bay with lovely views over Santa Ponsa, it has a great history and storie behind it,we visit it often when in Ponsa and back in April 2017 our friends had a marriage blessing held there attended by about 30 friends and family, it is the perfect setting for such things.

Well we had a brilliant time, paid for the three levels 15.90 Euro's. Played one level each day.It took us about 50/60 mins each round. The lay out of each course was very good and been thought out very well. It was the best we have ever been to. Children can play to as they have the clubs for them to. Also you can stop for food also have a drink.

We booked this trip several weeks ahead of time after Reading great reviews on Tripadvisor. We had several email discussions prior to our arrival in Port d'Andrax. We contacted them to confirm the day before, and unfortunately, and despite our many communications, he said he did not have a reservation for us and that the trip had been cancelled due to predicted bad weather.I read him the emails, but he denied their existence. Additionally, he informed me that the Bond machines (highlight of their tour) were out of service for the next 4 weeks. As you can imagine, our daughters were extremely disappointed. The next morning we were shocked to see the boat picking up people in the port and taking them out. The boat did return 20 minutes later due to the storm, but clearly the trip had not been cancelled. We were extremely disappointed with how this company handled our reservation, and I have never written a bad review before this one. Don't give them business!
