Holds a wide variety of tropical plants & fruit Gardens, orchids gardens;Amazonian Rainforest with Birds, Parrots & tropical fish; Waterfalls, Fountains, Vine Gardens. ON premises, Oasis Thai Restaurant and the a well-stocked and reasonable Galleria Gift Shop
The visit to the Gardens was not on the agenda which after visiting begs the question why not, paradise if nothing else is full of fabulous Beaches and resturants, therefore unfortunately what opportunities the island has to see what lies within are often overlooked, so not seen.
The Gardens have everything, great design and layout full of exotic plants and trees from around the world, so much colour, so many water features so much to do and see, along with rare birds and a fabulous resturant.
Great day out and great value for money, a must do and see.

A postcard of a beach: fine white sands, coconut palms, placid waters and even a lagoon behind the beach.
Stopped here as part of a cruise excursion. It included lunch at the Lime Beach bar.....I had the jerk chicken which was good. We strolled along the beach for awhile (something we like doing) and then went to a bar for a drink.
While it is not a spectacular beach, it is nice. A word of caution.......if it has been sunny out, the sand get HOT.

This volcano is a favorite climbers, hikers and cyclists.
OK, this is a serious climb. The waterfall hike has about 4 ropes, and is what some people are clearly reviewing. This hike has 90+ ropes, and is very strenuous and at times a bit dangerous.
When we told islanders we were going to do this climb, they were kind of shocked. I am in my 40's and go to the gym 2-3 times a week, but my son is 18, an athlete and kind of a health nut. We were both soaked in sweat by the time we reached the top (and it is cool up there).
Anther climber from our hotel was a D1 football player-- he came home and took a nap the entire rest of the day.
Coming down was dangerous; the ground is wet and you can easily slip and almost fall off the trail. I strained my shoulder recovering from a slip.
All this said, it was a great experience for my family, which includes my wife and daughter. It was a unique climb! That said, we all agreed none of us would ever do it again. Haha
A few tips:
- go later in your trip in case there someone twists an ankle or is just really sore
- another climber from our hotel played it smart-- just go halfway up. You get a feel for the ropes and experience, but don't kill yourself, and there is usually just fog at the summit
- wear clothes you won't wear again
- if staying at the Four Seasons, they will clean your shoes for about $10 and they do a fantastic job

Visitors can see the ruins of this grand 18th-century hotel and spa.
Part of a excursion of Nevis island. The Springs themselves was small, but nice and cared for. Do bring a towel if you plan of going into the Springs. Behind the Springs and up the hill is the bathhouse. Up at the bathhouse is a scenic outlook of the area.
We went with a guide, so we were given the history of the Springs and the area. Well worth having someone with you that knows about the area.

Museum and historic site, this mansion marks the birthplace of the father of the U.S. National Bank.
No, this is not one of the greatest historical museums that you have ever visited. However, suck it up and support the locals who are trying to promote their very real niche history. Pay the reasonable admission fee and spend 30 minutes Reading about Alexander Hamilton and Nevis. The woman who was in charge was a delightful person who asked me some history questions after I had asked her some.

Exhibits regard the history and culture of Nevis, with particular focus on Nevis-native, Alexander Hamilton.
This is the same as Hamilton's house but they do provide a history of the island matched with a timeline of other events around the world. Learnt quite a bit - especially if you have already been on an island tour to put placed in perspective

See the ruins of this church, otherwise known as St. Marks Chapel of Ease. Slaves and free men could once worship here together.

The remains of a Jewish community that fled Brazil in the 17th century.
Nineteen gravesites are in the Jewish Cemetery, with dates ranging from 1679 to 1730. Markers in Portuguese, Hebrew, and English bear testimony to this persecuted and uprooted race of people. Supposedly, the Jews brought technology vital to the sugar industry here, and became successful in the production of sugar, once the mainstay of the island. Along the way, they buried their dear departed in this unassuming plot of ground. When the sugar business discontinued on Nevis, (the larger Islands predominated in this endeavor) the Jews supposedly left the island for employment opportunities elsewhere. Their loved ones remain as a somber reminder of history; I'm glad to see this site commemorated here and am glad I saw it. Don't expect some magnificent display of monuments; bring your imagination and your respect and you will appreciate it.

The wedding site of Horatio Nelson and Fanny Nisbet; of the great estate, only two pillars have survived.
Beautiful home and grounds. Lots of history behind this place and its fun to learn. Stroll the grounds after a meal to truly take it in.

I actually found this church because the historic Anglican Church I wanted to attend had a later mass. And I was so glad I did. Not only is the congregation super friendly and warm but the service as unlike anything I've attended in a long time. Father Jagan was very inspirational unlike most priests in the Catholic Church and the choir and music just made you feel like dancing. What a joy in Nevis.
