Lake Jindabyne is utterly beautiful and tranquil. There is a boardwalk around a lot of the shoreline and there is a haven of flora and fauna there. You can even refresh yourselves with a swim in the cool clear waters from many little small cove-like Beaches.

The wildbrumby distillery makes a range of spirits including award-winning schnapps and gin. Come up and enjoy a wildbrumby tasting experience, visit our cafe, and take a wander through the beautiful grounds and sculpture garden.
We called in for a coffee, it's a quaint place just off the road. I saw a breakfast being served and so we stayed for the same because it looked so good. We weren't disappointed, and we spent far too much time discussing how much...MoreThank you so much for your thoughtful comments! We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your breakfast and schnapps tasting, and that you and your visitors felt well looked after during your visit.

A good visitor center with friendly staff and all the info you need available at the desk. In addition to ordinary things, it has some historical displays, a 3d map of the region and tablets which you can use to browse for local information. Also,...MoreSashkello - thank you for your review of our visitor centre and disappointed that our retail outlet did not meet your expectations. I will pass your comments on to the retail staff for their consideration. Thank you.

Ok so I admit to being at this place right now. It’s busy (big bike race weekend) but the staff are brilliant, the shared platters great.... and the beer is brilliant. That’s from a dedicated wine drinker. Stop here & enjoy - you’ll love it.

Entry to the facility is free, though if you want a guided tour there is a small cost. Picnic facilities are excellent, staff are very friendly and professional, and the trout are a sight to behold. The hatchery is also used as an educational facility. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

Used these guys on Saturday 15th of July 2017. What impressed me the most was the staff, all seemed very friendly and keen to help. The range of ski gear was comparable to other places i have rented from but they significantly cheaper if you used their pre order system.

Quite a varied selection of shops, including a Woolworths, liquor store, clothing stores, ski hire and tickets, giftware, cafes and restaurants. It occupies a couple of levels, and can be accessed through the carpark at the front, side streets, and street at the rear. If you are searching for a specific store there are a couple of notices with the layout of the Centre so you can find the store. Something for everybody here.

I'd booked a three day ride here under the impression it would be a legit trek - moving from campsite to campsite, that kind of thing. Was pretty disappointed when our trip turned out to be three rides, all leaving from and returning to the same campsite - which was 50metres from the wool shed reception!
On the upside, this is without a doubt an outstanding property - gorgeous scenery, loads of wildlife, and the work that the owners have done to provide sanctuary for the brumbies is fantastic. The accommodation on site is also lovely; we stayed in the homestead the night before our 'trek' and it was well appointed and very comfy.
Another upside is the fact the horses are happy, healthy and well cared for. Everyone in our group was reasonably happy with their horses and mine was definitely a little corker, plenty of spirit, easy to handle and didn't put a foot wrong.
The downsides? Hmm there were a few. Firstly the fact that, while we saw at least three campsites around the property, we were stuck at the least picturesque. While I would have perhaps understood needing to return to home base for weather reasons etc, the reasons we had to stay here were never explained. It was less of a trek, more of a pony club camp.
Second gripe was the complete lack of care or thought given to guest comfort. I'm no princess and don't mind roughing it, but we were expected to sleep in swags on metal camp beds that weren't remotely long enough for myself or my partner, who are 5'9 and 6'4. No apology or alternative was provided and we were 'jokingly' mocked when we decided to sleep elsewhere. It was a nightmare. Add to this the fact that the owners' dogs barked throughout the night keeping everyone awake, and it really didn't make for a relaxing night's sleep.
A similar lack of care was paid to individuals riding needs or experience. Everyone was chucked on a horse and off we went, with zero explanation or intro about how to handle the horses or what we could expect from the day. I heard the leader become outright rude to riders on several occasions, one of whom was a young boy. Pretty poor - but then again, what can you expect when 11 people of totally different experience and comfort levels embark on a ride together. Any claim that this place catering to all levels of riders is an outright lie.
Final gripe (because I'm losing the will to live just writing this) was the host, Justin. Not only was he dismissive and rude to various people throughout the weekend, we had to witness him repeatedly yell at his partner, putting her down and just being openly vile. All in front of guests. She was a lovely woman but it was truly uncomfortable for all who witnessed it (and by that, I mean literally everyone in our group).
In general I'd say this place is a truly stunning spot with great potential. Horses are way better than most you'll find at tourism-oriented equestrian places. But the guest experience? Omg horrific. If you have a high tolerance for thoughtless egomaniacs, by all means go for it. If not... trot right on by.

Monster ski hire caters for those looking for ski hire on a budget or large groups looking for fast efficient service
I was there with my family and friends in 2014 season with vouchers and they were exceptional knowledgeable in term of helping us choosing the gears. I took more friends and family back in 2015 season, also with vouchers but found out those vouchers not for Jindabyne store and they were kind to buy back our voucher, so nothing to loose. Thanks.
