Enjoyed our meal here, we had fillet minion and rissoles and both very pleased. The pub is full of character and quite popular, we found Rockhampton like a ghost town until we came here . We sat in front of a large fish tank which was quite entertaining to watch one particular fish scooping up sand and building a wall in front of his rock cave darting back quickly for cover while being guarded by another different species of fish.
The wall are full of history with old black and white photos of famous celebrities etc, very interesting. The building it self is very old world charm and sits across from the river bank.

Can’t ask for more than this place offers. Great steaks, great Queensland hospitality and an experience you will remember long after you’ve left.
I’ve eaten the stone grill concept before but this place and its owner does it better than most. Come In to this place, just outside of Rocky proper and you won’t be disappointed by the food or the warm welcome you’ll receive.

We travel a fair bit and found ourselves at the Motel attached to this Restaurant. Not usually one for motel food, but we didn't feel like scouring the Restaurant guide for decent place to eat so decided to risk it at this Motel option. I was so unprepared for the quality and standard of this Restaurant and the food that was served. This is far more than a motel restaurant. It easily stands alone as an excellent restaurant, with a tempting array of 'a le carte' meals and Deserts. My wife decided on the "Bugs" and I had a Porterhouse Steak. Well both of us were overwhelmed, my wife's Bugs were delicious (I had to sample a bit) and my Steak was cooked to perfection. It's very difficult to get a good steak, cooked just the way you like it, but this Restaurant cooked my medium steak perfectly, seared beautifully on a grill on the outside, yet lovely and pink on the inside without being raw - Juicy and tender. My hats off to the Chef and to the Restaurant owners for a delicious meal and scrumptious Deserts. Next time your in Rocky you can't go past staying at Motel 98 and a great meal at Restaurant 98. Congratulations to all concerned you've got my best vote.

A pleasant if not particularly memorable eatery. The food was okay, the service similar, nothing particularly stood out as being good or bad. It’s location does drive footfall and at busy times it may be prudent to book

Unfortunately we got here a bit late and the kitchen had already closed which reduced our choice to the pre prepared food though the normal menu did look tempting but wasn't available.

The food and service at the Giddy Goat were both faultless and I suspect booking is a good idea for busy times as I am sure it will get busy.
Medium pricing adds to its virtues and you will do a lot worse than eat here

Trust Trip advisor to come up with the right recommendations!
Looking for a light nourishing lunch in Rockhampton and liked the comments on Cafe Bliss.
I chose Chicken and Lime salad and it was beautiful! Lots of flavours, tasty dressing and that sharp flavour from the slice of lime squeezed over everything. Lots of tasty grilled chicken too!
Cafe Bliss gave a range of loose leaf teas 2nd to none - tea just topped off an awesome lunch. Also, being a hot day, their air conditioning was appreciated !
Highly recommended

Searching for a good steak in the steak capital of Queensland should be easy right? Well it is now. Not only is the steak (I had the Diamantina eye fillet) great and cooked to order, its thee whole setting which is an experience. The salt and pepper calamari with the beautiful feta and spinach salad were the best I have ever been served.. the dessert was a treat too. Worth every dollar!

Good food and service although not fast - they were very busy. Sold out of prosecco unfortunately by 7.30! Loads of meat and good atmosphere

Dined here 15th November, quite busy for a Wednesday night. We were a group of 8 plus three littlies. An extensive array of dishes were ordered and were all delicious. A special mention to floor and kitchen staff for going the extra mile in dealing with my citrus allergy. I was very impressed with their thorough explanation of the ingredients of the menu dishes, then being served a very delicious beef enchilada meal. Would definitely dine here again on our next visit to Rockhampton.
