The City Circle Tram is a free and convenient way to see the sights of central Melbourne and the Docklands while experiencing a ride on one of the city's much loved heritage trams. An audio commentary provides details of city landmarks and major attractions such as the City Museum, Parliament House, Docklands, Federation Square, Melbourne Aquarium and the Princess Theatre. The City Circle Tram also links with other tram, train and bus routes around Melbourne. To catch the City Circle Tram, simply wait at any tram stop along the City Circle Tram route. These tram stops are specially marked with a City Circle sign.Trams operate in both directions every 12 minutes between 10am and 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and between 10am and 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.City Circle Trams do not run on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
The City Circle Tram makes both clockwise and counter-clockwise laps around the central business district of Melbourne. This has a narrative which was somewhat helpful. The other great thing about the Melbourne Tram system is that it is completely free inside the central business district

The Sun is a restored Art Deco suburban theatre; now a cinema. It has three (I think) cinemas of differing sizes and each are rather beautiful. The seats are new and are deep and comfortable with big wide arms to rest your drinks on.
It gets very crowded in the foyer and you need to book, especially on half-price night. Right outside the main entrance is a little piazza on the Yarraville strip where people have picnics or visit the adjoining restaurants. It's a great locality and the Sun occupies a central place in it.

Escape Rooms are an exciting & challenging real life experience that enable small groups of people to use clues within and sometimes beyond the room to solve puzzles that allow them to escape the room.
We had such a great time trying to decipher the riddles and clues. The clues themselves were very well thought out, and I am surprised we actually cracked all of them, as they were so clever! Great thing to do with a family, an hour...MoreHi Afamlonga, Thanks for taking time and reviewed us!! We glad to hear you all had an amazing time in our escape room and we hope to see you again soon. This inner suburban shopping strip is patronised by residents of some of Melbourne's less well known affluent suburbs including Kensington, Ascot Vale and Essendon residents.
It has a good range of cafes and some fashion outlets plus the usual supermarkets and services such as banks.
It is easy to get to as Moonee Ponds railway station is on Metro Trains' Craigieburn line. There is also the number 59 (Yarra) tram and numerous suburban bus routes.

Preston Market opens Wednesday to Sunday. It closes at 3pm. Lots of choices of butchers, seafood, poultry, fruit and vegetable shops. Price is usually cheaper than supermarkets. There are a few artisan bakeries which are busy and popular. There are also Café, pizza shops which are well patronised. The florist sells a large varieties of cut flowers. It is surrounded by numerous local Asian groceries, restaurants and takeaways. Parking for the first 2 hours is free. It is overcrowded over the weekend especially closed to closing time due to bargain auctions of perishable. It is also accessible by train to Preston Station.

A source of water for the Moonee Ponds Creek, this park has ponds, where I used to catch yabbies when I was a child. My fascination with the park continues. There are Playgrounds for the children, and plenty of space for picnicking and running around. There is car parking, and it is also close to trams and bus routes. Toilets and shade are there and it is a short walk to the nearby shopping centre.

Riverside Park is very popular. The park is being upgraded by the City of Moonee Valley. Facilities include play equipment for children and barbecues. The park is especially popular in warmer months. Riverside Park borders the Maribyrnong River. The walk around the river, over the pedestrian bridge and and back along the road bridge, takes around 40 minutes if you walk steadily. It's a good place to exercise your dog, but please consider other park users..
