A Malaysian restaurant serving traditional and contemporary Malaysian dishes for the past 28 years. Home Delivery and take away available, licensed, BYO wine and champagne only.
My partner lives in Moonee Ponds currently I’m down visiting and he suggested Jacks.
In my opinion your food is flavoured beautifully one of those restaurants where you don’t need to overstate what is on the plate to feel the full force of flavours.
You have an understated restaurant with an over the top fantastic menu and the customer service is the bonus.
Modesty is the key to your success and you are a real gem in a location out of the city.

A colleague put me onto this restaurant and it was great.
The entree was to die for. Cannot remember the exact name, but it was a shaved meat/charcuterie dish with buffalo cheese and Parmesan cheese. That was absolutely enough for me and 2 other of my table as it was magnificent!
But then onto the mains....
The Dry aged beef was incredible. My cut was rib eye on the bone 'rare' and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection.
I didn't have dessert, but of the 5 of us, 4 did. Three had Tiramisu and wait for it - they bring out the biggest bowl of all time and give the biggest piece possible.
All said it was amazing.
Total cost with entrees, main meal and 4 (of 5) desserts was incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and 3 bottles of wine.
Not for kids at all and was very surprised they did not cater at all for vegetarians.
Definitely will go again.

Had been looking forward to returning here as we had a fantastic food experience recently. Very busy Saturday night and lucky to be seated on arrival without a booking. Must have been a bad night in the kitchen as although everything that we ordered landed on our table quickly and seemed fresh and portion sizes good nothing seemed to suit our palates, perhaps We have gone off Thai food ?? Fantastic service as usual but it is on the expensive side. Will return, highly recommend if You love Thai food.

Visited for a family celebration meal on a Friday night, we have been before because it had good food, plenty to choose from and arrived well presented.
This time however, by the time the last dish was served, others had finished theirs, probably 20 minutes later.
All it would have taken was a short apology or an alert, "I'm sorry, the duck will take a little longer", but nothing was said or done to give us a courteous heads-up.

It is some time since I visited Friends of Mine, as usual the coffee was excellent and the service was attentive. The menu, however, was a trifle pedestrian and needs a revamp. The smoothies are great. Customers are likely to appreciate some innovation, especially in the mainly egg-based breakfast menu. The daily specials are interesting. I'll certainly be returning to this welcome component of the Keilor Road Coffee Conurbation.

Hey Jude has been open for more than four years, practically an eternity on the ever-changing Keilor Road Coffee Strip. Hey Jude is always busy, a good sign for a cafe in this competitive area. The food is good, as is the coffee. Service is efficient. Hey Jude also has a bar, you can have wine or beer with your meal if you feel so inclined.

So many venues offer the same boring plainly cooked items for breaky at pretty much the same overly prices charges. NOT Andy's. His fare is amazing and the prices are well worth what you will enjoy as you sit there and taste and smell and savour
