The Route des vins takes you through some of the most picturesque parts of SouthEastern Quebec. Along the way, there are many vineyards that are very good, restaurants and farm produce stalls. It is simply a great way to pass the weekend, since B&B's abound as well.

You really can't beat the fact that this spa is build on a long wide hill that ends on a beautiful lake with the Eastern Townships' rolling landscape in the background. And the hill and lake are all part of the spa's facilities! It doesn't get much better than having a relaxation cycle floating lazily on inflatable beds on the lake...
The frills I'm referring to in my title are free refills of chlorophyll or hibiscus infused water, marshmallows and a fire for roasting, on-demand guided tours of the premises and art Exhibitions on its walls.
The pools and saunas are fantastic but quite typical for a Scandinavian Spa. They have unique relaxation rooms like a mini movie theater and aquarium room.
The restaurant is top notch as well although the first time we went we waited a long time because apparently they had run out of an ingredient but didn't tell us and went to get more.
Some misc. notes:
- In the winter, the entire hillside and lake is understandably closed, so you're missing out on almost 50% of the experience.
- They don't pipe the new age music too overtly like other places might
- Weekday summer hours are short
- The movies in the theatre are nature documentaries which is less relaxing if you happen on the lions-eating-gazelles scene
- The aquarium could use more fish
- Beware of snoring clients

Loved this very cute boutique and vineyard! We did the tasting only (not the tour). The staff was very friendly and welcoming and shared a lot of knowledge about the Cider production process. We sampled several of their ciders (fire, ice and sparkling). My favourite was was the fire cider (picked up a few bottles). Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the Eastern Townships.

This winery is on a great cycle route in the Bromine area (some hills). We stopped for lunch and were really well treated by the winery folk. They don't really offer a "lunch" but sell the ingredients for a brilliant picnic: local cheese, local sausage, Brome duck, ... and an excellent chilled rose. Well worth it, to sit on the patio or the Muskoka chairs and look out at the lake in the distance across the vineyard.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to say special thank you to manager Melanie for kindness, understanding and professionalism. Also all guys in rental department were very knowledgeable and helpful. The place is awesome. Slopes are well groomed and scenery is beautiful. Prices are down to earth not like in Colorado or Salt Lake City: really affordable. You want regret it if you visit Mont Sutton!!

It was a great autumn day playing on a wonderful traditional tree lined course. Located about a 60 minute drive from Montreal. There were a good variety of holes with lots of different views. Greens were moderately fast but extremely difficult to read for a first time player. Subtle movement on most putts. While tree lined, stray shots were not heavily penalized - you could actually find your ball. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly. I would return to play.

By far the best tasting wine in the area in my humble, uneducated opinion. You need to try the aged alcoholic beverage that is created in the large glass jugs sitting on the outdoor shelving all around the building. Truly a delight.

Ski Bromont is a great 4-season resort waiting for you to discover it! In winter, we offer: 450 acres of skiable terrain with 155 trails and glades covering 7 hillsides, the largest lit skiable area in America, 6 snow parks, 9 ski lifts, more than 1,200 snow guns, and guaranteed excellent snow conditions day and night. In summer, our magnificent Water Park offers more than 20 activities for the whole family, including swirling slides, a heated wave pool and thrilling alpine luges: the whole family will enjoy a tidal wave of fun! Also on site are 21 downhill mountain biking trails for all levels (accessible by chairlift), a superb bike park, wallrides... and much more!
I normally love this place, but tonight’s Nuit Blanche was a disaster. Overcrowded, key chair lifts unserviceable and those that were working constantly stopping (one for 45 minutes!). It was a shame to see the ski runs empty of skiers while the queues for the lifts were 20-30 minutes. Returned home early :-(

Visiting family in Knowlton who took us to an open house at this Alpaca farm, an immense property in the countryside. It was amazing to observe young & adult alpacas in their spacious pens, such gentle animals - young & old alike feeding them out of hand with the food provided to us by staff. It was interesting watching them communicate with each other, especially when they felt that another alpaca was trying to also feed out of your hand, as well as their eye contact with the humans visiting them. Owner René Desharnais & his family are very much involved in the operation of this business & obviously enjoy what they do for a living! The bilingual guided tour was most informative. Gift shop sells numerous items made from alpaca's wool which is very soft, durable & attractive. On this open house weekend, there were a few food, chocolate & hand-made craft vendors -many unique & interesting items for sale. Farm open & operates year round, although winter hours much more limited. Would be a great way to spend a day with your family - picnic tables on property as well. They also have an excellent website which I checked out later, very informative !
