Restaurants in Ciovo Island

Equally lovely by day and at night when the restaurants set out tables and chairs in the squares and courtyards of the walled city. South facing Promenade where the cruise ships and super yachts pull up was best avoided for food as the quality of food and the character of the restaurants within the walled city were both a lot better.

Camp Labadusa is located in the south bay of the island Čiovo in the vicinity of Okrug Gornji, and presents a real oasis of untouched nature. It is a bay that is hard to describe by words or pictures. If you visit us once guided by curiosity or road signs, you will surely keep coming back satisfied that you have discovered it because it is truly an oasis of untouched nature. The Camp stretches along the beautiful bay in the shadow of pine forest. Many compliments of our guests confirm the excellent service offered and put it among the very top places for camping. Nature lovers will easily find that one exceptional spot for themselves and enjoy a relaxing holiday while breathing in the scents of lavender and pine. The beach of the camp is special for its diversity. The part with pebbles is ideal for children, and the rest are pebbles in combination with rocks.Inside the auto camp is a Mediterranean tavern built out of stone with a shaded Terrace. There you can enjoy in rich gastronomic offer, Dalmatian specialties and atmosphere spiced with homemade olive oil and wine. In front of the restaurant there is a round bar made in stone just next to the sea where you can relax and drink your morning and afternoon coffee enjoying the crystal clear sea view and Dalmatian Islands. A playground for children is next to the coffee bar, where your kids can enjoy the trampoline, swings, slider and funny sandpit. Great traffic connections (the airport and motorway vicinity) make this destination easy reachable. In just one place you can enjoy the accommodation, food, drinks, crystal clear sea and hospitality.
It is a small camp site, but really very nice, with excellent, friendly staff and the owner... actually they are not service we rather call them family!
Clean showers and toilets.
There is authentic Konoba in the camp site with delicious domestic food
Directly on the beach which is also really nice... We really enjoyed our stay here!
Many thanks to Mirjana and her staff !

I am a certified Open Water diver and my husband is a snorkeler. The owner, Ivica, picked us up from Split Harbor and took us out on his little boat to the "tunnels" on the Island of Ciovo. We dove at the endof dive season in Croatia (end of October). There were some schools of fish and lots of sea urchin, but not much more. I was having some mask and buoyancy issues, so I couldn't enjoy the dive as well as I could of, but the mask was my fault because I chose the wrong one. My husband had a great time snorkeling along the reef.
Overall, i thought highly of the divemaster, but the dive itself was just ok. I originally booked 2 dives, but only decided to do 1 after the mask left me with a bit og a headache. Would probably have a better experience earlier in the season.

Chapel of St. John the Baptist is located in Okrug Donji. Year of construction of the chapel is unknown. Andreis The poet mentions a chapel in the 17th century and says that it was built by villagers. Small church was upgraded during the time.
We as a friends really recommend this place. Go there you will not regret. There is a lot to see if you like history and art

The Cathedral, called St. John among local citizens, is the highest building in Trogir, dominating the area.
This is of course the centrepiece of the main square, and indeed the town itself. An impressive structure completed in the late 13th century, the views from the top are good too, although the climb is not for the faint hearted. The Cathedral itself has the usual array of frescos and ornate ceilings, which I am sure for those who study these things contain much symbolism - I am not one of these. Still, you can admire the artwork.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Prizidnica is an ancient shrine dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary located on the south side of Ciovo Island, in Prizidnica, among the steep cliffs above the blue sea. Also, the Wilderness nature around truly make this Sanctuary impressive. You'll have beautiful views all the way until here. The road is easy, nice, quiet and well kept. You'll have a lot of awesome photo ops. The final part of the road to the Sanctuary is a trail (with good maintenance, nice, clean and easy). The place itself is small but charming indeed. It's very quiet. Great for nature lovers and peace seekers. Be aware, there is not any shop or supermarket nearby, so you must get water (among other things) before you arrive here. So, be prepared. The intercessions of Our Lady of Prizidnice were particularly asked by sailors wishing returning safe and healthy to their homes and families.Still today, the attachment of Christian people to Our Lady of Prizidnica is very deep. The pilgrimage to the shrine happens four times a year. The Sanctuary is situated in a beautiful natural surroundings. You can come walking, by car or boat.Truly Worth it! Highly recommended!

The area is very clean with great views and all the facilities you could need for food and drink etc. However the beach is very narrow and quickly becomes crowded. There is also no buffer space between the sunbathing area and the bars and cafes which gives the feeling of everything being on top of itself. We found it all a bit claustrophobic.
