Thanks to Myoko Snowsports (in particular, Michale) for getting me from a “never been on a board” on a day one, to riding down a red run on Day 4. Awesome experience, kind but persistent instructors who are patient but know when to push you to get you to where they know you can be. Thank you! And thank you Michale! Great 4 days with the one instructor made my afternoons fun and challenging.

Mount Fuji

Four routes, each divided into ten sections by stopping and refueling stations, lead up to Mt. Fuji's snow-covered tip. You don't have to be a die-hard mountaineer to climb Mt. Fuji; the slopes are full of children and adults of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The official climbing season only runs from the beginning of July to the end of August, but you can take the train from Toyko to the fifth station any season.

Mount Fuji is a must see attraction in Japan. You might wanna consider some factors though when visiting. Best spot to view it is in Chureito Pagoda however during cold season you need to be there in between 8:30 am to 10 am, otherwise it will be covered with clouds.. The mountain is only OK to climb on specific months for safety reasons.. When visiting from Tokyo, you might wanna consider purchasing the Fuji Hakone pass that you can buy from Odakyu in Shinjuku, it is practical..

You can take a bus at the station and visit Geku and Naigu. (You can put your suitcase in the coin locker, or ask at the counter of the tourist information, next building of the station.) Please visit Geku first and then, visit Naigu.
Ise Grand Shrine is one of the most famous shrines in Japan and so many Japanese
worship this shrine.
After visiting Naigu, you can enjoy eating and shopping at 'Okage Yokocho' which is
close to Naigu.

Nakasendo Walking Trail, Tsumagojuku

This historic footpath through the Kiso Valley connects the villages of Tsumago and Magome. The partially paved trail is approximately 8 kilometers in length and passes by several historic and natural wonders.

Reviewed By Wonder80 - Los Angeles, California

Follow the guidance in Japan-guide.com to get to Magome, a lovely old postal town in the central Mountains of Japan. Then continue uphill to the Nakasendo Trail, part of the old traveler's route between Edo and Kyoto. The trail is uphill until about 1/3 of the way, then mostly downhill to Tsumago. The path along the old paving stones is difficult on the feet and ankles so good shoes must be worn but not all the trail is like that, the parts along the road (protected pathway) and sandy trails are much easier. Nearer Tsumago, the hike is along a clear forest stream and one can imagine stopping for a dip in the summertime. It took us from about 11:30 or so till 4:00 including admiring the pretty post towns of Magome and Tsumago so the Japan Guide's 2-3 hours would be for the young and fit. Once we got to Tsumago, we were already late for our train so we took a taxi to the Nagiso Station. Interestingly, we just asked around and a lady gardening just asked her husband who was sitting in the bus to change to the taxi and drive us down to the station. Took only about 10 minutes, compared to the 30 minute bus ride from Nalatsugawa to Magome. Suggest taking the 9 or 10 a.m. train from Nagoya and connect to the bus to Magome at Nakatsugawa. Then if you walk leisurely like us, take the 4:56 from Nagiso back to Nagoya to be less rushed. There is also a 3:56 if you plan to walk faster or start with the 9 a.m. train.

We come here so my husband can surf...I generally hide under an umbrella. Nice beach, and off season..really relaxing. We usually come in May-June or Oct-Nov. In summer, lots of people are here and the beach is packed with families. If you can come off season, the water won't be warm, but it is pretty. Great for photos..and relaxing. Small children really enjoy digging here in the sand..good place for families. Not huge waves, but there are always surfers here..hoping.. and Surfing the small waves. Nice sandy beach..a restroom is available..and some sort of showers. Bring food and drinks though.. maybe only in summer you can buy something to eat. Off season, we carry our own. One of the nicer Beaches in my opinion.

We visited this place because we ran out of stuff to do and didn't really think anything about it before going in.
That changed quickly. We absolutely enjoyed everything about this visit. The attention to detail of the Toyota museum, the hands on sections, the great explanations, and the helpful guides. Everything was pot on.
At the end of the museum is a car science playground where you can try out everything yourself.
For roughly $4 per person, I didn't expect something this elaborate and fun. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Nagoya, even if you are not into cars.

We visited this centre and joined the eco-tour on a winter day.
Our eco-tour guide reassured us that winter visit isn't necessarily a disadvantage. I didn't understand. Soon, we were shown animal footprints on snow path; those unique marks left by the wild life won't be visible otherwise. Amazing naturalist guide told us everything during the two-hour walk.
I am sure this is one of the best reasons for returning to Karuizawa during another season, to savour another magical walk. You should, too.
