Nice riverfront location (well for Worms anyway, which is not overly picturesque), a little way from the town centre. Lovely personal service from a very friendly waitress. All of the beers we tried (and I think it was all of them) were extremely good quality and really tasty. The food was one of the best meals we'd had in a week of very good food. Overall, a great afternoon well spent!

We spent a very warm summer evening in this buzzling outside biergarten. The sheer number of people was what drew us there in the first place. Must be a giid sign, right? And we were right. The food is not very sophisticated, it´s more like a BBQ-place, with focus on grilled meat. On the other hand, they are good at what they do. We had schnitzel and a mixed grill and they were delicious. The only downside-and for some this might sound like an upside-was the size of the portions: I have never seen anything like it, not even in the US: They are HUGE and as far as we could tell every person left with a doggy bag big enough to feed a family. So, if you like BBQ and don´t mind portions the size of a table, this is aboslutely a good place to eat!

Very busy place and still wasn't forgotten. Had a small pasta with mushrooms. Very, very good. Main course was grilled monkfish with grilled vegetables. Desert was tiramassu. I walked back to the hotel a happy camper.

As you can tell this pizza place is mostly frequented by local German people. We were staying at the Asgard Hotel nearby, and passed the place several times, before deciding to try it on our last night. It does not look much, but who else has a choice of 300 pizzas?? Staff were very friendly. Menu was in German so you need a phrase book, but they also speak Italian if that helps. But excellent pizza, and MUCH cheaper than the chains in the UK.

"Ambiente": Enjoyable hours on two floors At the Wormser Weckerlingplatz, the cuisine and the historic surroundings are combined with Italian charm The married couples Lina and Mario D'Errico and the A team spoil their guests in a stylish ambience. The "Ristorante Ambiente" offers culinary all-round service at the highest level, from breakfast to lunch, from the Mediterranean menu to birthday or wedding parties for up to 120 persons. Fancy a delicious breakfast, an intimate candlelight dinner, or simply a delicious meal with friends on a sunny Terrace in a historic ambience? Stylish gourmet temple In the immediate vicinity of Dom and Andreasstift, Mario D'Errico transformed the former Baptist church into a gourmet temple on two floors. In the stylish, contemporary interior design, the skilled restaurant expert and his team offer a varied and original menu that goes far beyond those of a "normal" Italian. These include typical dishes. Very popular is also the lunch table. From Tuesdays to Fridays from 5.90 euros there are new and light creations of homemade pasta, pizza, antipasti, fish, seafood and meat dishes from 11am to 3pm as well as various three-course menus. Daily dishes like all other dishes are always freshly prepared with seasonal ingredients. Fresh showcases for fish and antipasti also enhance the selection. In the case of the wines one also relies on local winegrowers like the Wormser Weingut Liebfrauenstift or the Abenheimer Winery Spohr as on plants from the Piedmont or Sicily. Distinguished beers, carefully prepared cocktails and, of course, Italian specialty coffees accompany the food and can also be enjoyed at the elegant bar or the sunny Terrace.
Very friendly and food was excellent. Staff made us feel welcome with free glass of sparkly, No English menu so waiter had to explain menu, food was excellent as was service, would definitely recommend.

Vannini draws the crowd with sheer variety - 44 flavors, and over 40 creative combinations to try! A large signboard spans the length of their ice cream counter, displaying the various combinations on offer. Nice restaurant. I guess I am one of those few people that doesn't really go for flammkuchen -- just not my thing, but my dining companion will verify the good reviews of it here. Friendly service and the food was quite good.

We went to Kriemhilde twice during our three-day stay in Worms. Many of the best restaurants in Worms are Italian, and since we live in Italy part of the year we had no need for Italian food outside of Italy. We did try an Indian/Pakistani restaurant one evening, but the choices were limited in the area of our hotel. Kriemhilde was worth the repeat visit.
Our first course on the first evening was a dish of trout and salmon on toast with salad, and was followed by a lamb shank and a Holsteiner pork schnitzel. Our wine was a red riesling, which was entirely new to us and a pleasant surprise. The second evening we had two schnitzels, the Odenwalder and the champignon. All these dishes were excellent, as were the potato accompaniments, pommes frites with weisskrautsalat and the gourmet pommes with bacon, onions, and parsley. Like many businesses in Germany, Kriemhilde accepts only German credit cards. Nevertheless, we would not hesitate to return here a third time if we are ever in Worms again.

Make sure you are hungry when you visit. There are 2 portion sizes and a small was enough for me. I believe the larger portion has 2 Schnitzels. There are 2 pages of Schnitzel dinners to choose from. There are also other items on the menu but we wanted Schnitzel. You get a house salad to start with and then you're Schnitzel. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. So glad we stopped by! Very yummy!

We ate here on the first night of a two-week trip and the meal is among the best we had. We had pork tenderloin prepared two different ways and each was very good. Nice salad bar. We would recommend although it is away from the city center and very little English is spoken here.
