Standing at the gateway to Holkham and the National Nature Reserve, the Victoria is a classic English inn owned by the Coke family and managed by the Holkham estate. There are ten elegant bedrooms, the bar and dining rooms offer a relaxed blend of style and comfort. The “Vic” serves delicious locally sourced food, much of it grown and raised on the estate with a bold emphasis on freshness, simplicity and value. Holkham has been a leading agricultural estate since the 1800’s when Thomas William Coke bought the site and the young Queen Victoria elevated him to the peerage in recognition of his contribution to farming in 1837. The name of the proposed new inn must have been inevitable when it opened its doors in 1838. The Victoria re-opened in Spring 2013 following extensive refurbishment.
Looking for a lunchtime snack while meandering along the North Norfolk coast. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great food by a roaring fire backed up by friendly and knowledgeable service despite being busy..Thank you very much for your 5 star review! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to us and look forward to welcoming you back when you next meander along this beautiful coastline.

We were disappointed with the quality of the food at Ollies. It is a comfortable and pleasant pub so the food was disappointing. Café type options, suspect were microwaved. Staff were pleasant and efficient but will not be eating there again but would return for the Guinness

I felt the food was slightly over priced but I cannot fault the quality and service that we experienced in our time here!Glad to hear we hit the mark on two fronts. I think, however, that you'll find we're very competitive price wise when compared to other hotels in the north Norfolk area.

This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last
Took a friends recommendation and booked for Friday night. Really pleased we did as we had a very enjoyable evening
A warm welcome from all the staff who were busy which always makes a great atmosphere
Knowledgeable and helpful
I had mussels and lobster Thermidor but also saw some great looking dishes out of the corner of my eye
Not the cheapest but I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and besides it keeps the riff raff out
Will definitely recommend to other friends and will return ourselves when we are next in Norfolk
Thanks to all the team at the Wells Crab House we had a very enjoyable evening

Overlooking a pretty, leafy Georgian square in the bustling seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, The Globe Inn is a great base for a break on the beautiful north Norfolk coast or an ideal spot for a pint of beer and some simple, home cooked food. Accredited with 4 stars and a silver award by Enjoy England, the Inn offers exceptional quality in all areas. There is a sun-filled courtyard for alfresco eating and dining and a perfect spot to read your morning paper whilst having breakfast. With loads of fabulous local producers on the doorstep, typical dishes will include: Wells' seafood risotto, local pigeon breasts, Norfolk sirloin steak and Mrs Temple's wonderful cheeses. The town offers a central base for the nearby beautiful Holkham Beach with more than four miles of golden sand, and the world-class bird watching sites of the Holkham Nature Reserve, Cley-next-Sea and Titchwell.
We had dinner here on Friday 2nd of March and couldn't fault the friendly service and delicious food we experienced. Had a beef stew with cheese dumplings which was incredibly rich and delicious. Followed by sticky toffee pudding and accompanied with a great bottle of red. Would love to visit again, shame we don't live more locally!

There is something very special about sitting on the deck of the piece of floating history, watching the twilight turn to disk and night, lights twinkling on the Christmas tree on the quay, wrapped up warm and enjoying an excellent pint. The staff are cheerful and welcoming, the food on offer looked very tempting and just a bit different. A must do when visiting Wells.

Came here one cold and dark February evening after a 14 mile walk in brilliant Sunshine and wasn't dissappointed. Friendly welcome and nothing too much trouble. Such an old pub that oozes character. The food was all home made and excellent, all washed down with a couple of Suffolk ciders. We slept well afterwards!!!

In an idyllic location backed by mature pine woods and a stone`s throw from the beach with its famed array of beach huts, the Beach Cafe is a fun, vibrant place to eat, drink and shop. We've got a new look for 2017 and plenty for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy. You'll find us just outside of Wells town about half a mile from the quay not far from Pinewoods Holiday Park.
