Huntingdon is a market town in Cambridgeshire, England. The town was chartered by King John in 1205. It is the traditional county town of Huntingdonshire and the seat of the Huntingdonshire district council. It is well known as the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell, who was born in 1599 and was the member of parliament (MP) for the town in the 17th century. The former Conservative prime minister John Major was the MP for the town from 1979 to 2001.

The mill is on a lovely stretch of river, close to the delightful villages of Houghton, Wyton and the Hemmingfords.
The mill itself is a beautiful building, full of information and interesting displays about the history of the mill and village. Finally there is a NT tea shop with its usual range of quality snacks and treats.
A visit can easily be combined with a walk along the river to St Ives or exploring any of the surrounding villages.

This park is a delight for adults and children. The play park area has a great slide with no drop because it's at ground level,mbut very long and quite steep. There are swings and climbing frames and a covered picnic table area. The woodland part is beautiful, with imaginative wooden snakes and stepping stones for children. There's also a shop.

I took a group here on 14th June 2017. Everyone loved the rambling garden with some very unusual plants such as Wode, Delphinium Requienii, and a very pretty white Clematis called Rector which had been grown over hazel hoops. Some of the party managed to see inside the house and although small it is very interesting and possibly amongst the oldest in East Anglia. It is of course the home of the Green Knowe series of children's books. A lot of the unusual plants were for sale and our group reduced the number considerably!

Having checked the website for opening times we decided to take visiting friends to look at the museum as they had expressed an interest.
Bitterly disappointed to find that it was closed and no explanations as to why. Date of visit

We never get bored of this lovely family run activity centre.
The animals including crocodiles are always an excitement for the family.
The farm shop is well stocked and has lots of variety... the steak house is a favourite date night venue as well as carvery on a Sunday

Grafham Water Park is situated in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countyside with excellant road links to the A1 and A14. Many activities are available including fishing, walking, bird watching, cycling, sailing, plus much more. The are two on site cafes, two childrens Playgrounds and regular events running throughout the year.

Great for a walk, see the local wildlife and get some exercise at the same time. Easy to get to close to A1. Water sports center has great selection of activities for all ages and abilities. Just wish the British weather could be more predictable.

1st time here and found the Race Course Small and Lovely.
Three course Meal was Average...Could of been Hotter and sauce with Salmon was very Tasteless and Greasy. But saying that the Afternoon Tea & Scones were very Good.
Waitress service for Drinks was very slack in which we kept on having to find someone as she seemed to be concentrating on other tables.
Despite these couple of niggles we had a lovely day and found that it made it even better as it was only a 5 minute stroll to Hotel .

I was really looking forward to coming here, but it was a waste of time. Most of the stuff was just junk, there was nothing interesting. The rest wasn't even antiques, there were a lot of modern and new items. The presentation of the items was mostly poor too: little was labelled or described, and mostly stuff was just haphazardly dumped. Plus the place was freezing cold, even colder than outside. Some love and attention would work wonders here.

What an excellent experience. We were given lots of great info about the Alpacas and met them in a group before we were allocated our own Alpaca to walk with.
We were able to bond with them whilst feeding them and walking them in the countryside, there was lots of photo opportunities and also where the farm owner took photos for us in our family groups.
We gave them treats on our return, while they had their harnesses removed! We were also offered refreshments and a chance to view/purchase items made with Alpaca wool.
We actually adopted one for 12 months!
Thoroughly enjoyed this great afternoon out. Staff and owner were really friendly and informative . Can't recommend it enough!

The spire collapsed during a hurricane in 1741 and instead of being rebuilt was replaced with eight ball finials at its base. The church is still in active use with up to three services on a Sunday and many more in the week.
