At Ängavallen living organically from farm to fork is neither strange nor new. We've been doing it for decades and it simply entails recognizing that the natural environment is a wonderfully balanced, robust and sustainable whole. In 2008 we won White Guides 'Best ecological restaurant in Sweden".
While waiting for the ferry in Trelleborg we had the opportunity to eat at Ängavallen, probably the best ecological restaurant in Sweden. The five cource meal was great, with the veil sausage and cheese plat as the high points. The cheese plate could be a little bigger, you want more of the fantastic cheeses! The wine paring is a must.

This is a great local place. Run by Kenneth and his wife they have a limited menu but quality raw materials means great food. Personalized service make you come back many times.
It is a small place with less than 20 seats but during summer also a Terrace. Wine list is good, reasonably priced and fits well with the food that they offer.
It was the 5th time we were there and we will be regularly coming back.

Very well made food (by Franz) in the middle of a typical south Swedish small town.
A place were all city members used to gather together in the early days.
The food is very good with a Swedish touch (could be more traditional Swedish food according to me). If you want to explore the south part of Sweden, a hostelry like this must be visited. Lunch is very good. I come here 5-6 times a year and I am always happy when I leave.

Splendid food and service. Restaurant a bit boring but service was crisp and friendly. Highly recommend that you ask them to create a "picnic" offer. Was extraordinary good and tasty.

Have been there with my family today, the long-cooked chili was one of the best I ever ate. Focaccia and shrimp-salad also tasted great. Slightly cold in the restaurant but really nice and pure atmosphere. A small store joining the restaurant provides with lots of different crafts, design and toys. Well worth a visit.

This is a little out of Malmo - 5 mins in a taxi, but I can only imagine this is why it is not further up the trip adviser reviews as it absolutely deserves to be. The restaurant is pretty with lots of small candles all over. The service is very friendly, helpful and good. The food without exception is VERY good - VERY!
The starters - Goat cheese/shrimp/salmon all delicious and very large portions. The sole and the duck are to die for. We are always too stuffed for desert. Great wine choice too. Love this place - highly recommend.

I arrived quite late, all other restaurants were alreaddy closed, so it was like a last option for us.
But I was surprised quite much. I eat a fish fillet with a really tasty sauce. It was amazing.
The restaurunt has a nice and warmly intereior and friendly atmosphere.

Hallongården (the Raspberry Farm) is a farm with a café and small shop where they sell there home made products. It is a nice place to visit with children since there are some animals to pet while having some "fika". The prices are a bit high for the food but overall the taste was quite good.

En välbehövlig paus i tomteland, goda plättar och trevlig buffé, dock tyckte jag att gulaschsoppan hade lite bättre sting förr. Men som helhet mysigt och trevligt som alltid!

wonderful service from the entire straff. We appreciated that we were served by serveral members of the staff, all very dedicated in explaining the set courses for us, where the ingridients came from (all mostly local which also was a plus), and how/why the courses were invented. Great, tasty dishes with high class and finess, and all the flavours were spot on. Could be more attentive to decoration of the dishes to give it an even higher level of finess, for it to be a home run. We loved the intimate setting downstairs in the basement. We did not go for the wine-pairing as we saw that it was basically all white wines, plus actually quite expensive, when we prefer mostly reds. But they had an excellent selection of beers, non-alcoholic beverages since one in our company is pregnant and also a great winelist, so we were happy :-)
Their dessert was extremely appreciated by all of us and our favorite dish of the menu. One said it is the best dessert he ever had and we have been all over the world. :-)
We can highly recommend Lyran if you want to try something different in the popular style "From farm to table".
