With daily concoctions of fresh juices, ranging from melon-raspberry to orange-papaya-kiwi, single-grove coffees, and emphasis on local, healthful products, Fernand & Cie is a destination worth putting on your itinerary, whether you reside nearby or are travelling through the area to visit the Évian/Chamonix region. The owners are friendly, dynamic, and upbeat, and the location feels like you’re spending a nice afternoon at a friend’s low-key vacation home. Homemade desserts are delicious!

Fresh produce, excellent desserts, extraordinary value lunch at 14-18 euros, all carefully prepared and with imaginative touches. Very warm welcome, near station, so much better value than lakeside restaurants: but a few nice tables outside and fresh decor inside. Not to miss.

This is a nice little spot in Thonon les Bains, just an advise, arrive early or make reservation, plenty of locals go there for lunch break.
Food is hearty and well executed, service is friendly and fast. Setting is a bit odd as the restaurant is a bit off centered from the city center.
Dishes are made from fresh ingredients and the wait staff will even tell you where it all comes from! One of the best in the area and a good valus for money too!

We travelled 34 km just to try this restaurant in Thonon, but sadly we could not eat. They were serving only people that had booked. There were plenty of places available but because of shortage of staff, they refused to sit us. It was almost 13:30 when we got there and, after that, we could only find a decent place to eat more than one hour later back in Geneva. So for me, this was a terrible lunch experience.

We took the children pizza, some fish and an adult pizza. The food was ok, but average. The so called mixed salat had only some green salat with one sliced tomato - for seven Euro. It's a pity, since the place is much nicer than the food.

I had a late breakfast/early lunch here, just by choosing it on the street, while waiting for a TGV. I lucked out -- this place was awesome! It appeared to be operated by a family, and they clearly cared for their establishment; it was a...MoreHello Sir, We thank you for your message which is heart-warming us. Found this place by chance after walking around looking at a few menus and being left uninspired. So glad we did. Great menu, and really excellent burgers. Good theme and atmosphere with service to match.

linked to our hotel so very convenient after a day out sightseeing. Most customers seemed to be French and more often than not locals which was a good sign. The staff were lovely. The Menu du Jour was great value and over 4 nights we could not fault it.

This restaurant is situated about 50 yards from the Ibis hotel where we were staying for our 3 day break. Arrived at 7pm but had not booked (Friday night). We were lucky that a table (for 2)was available. The rest of the tables had reserved notices on. By 8pm all tables were full and they were all locals. By the end of the meal we could definitely understand why even in the 3rd week of January the restaurant was so well patronised. If you are in the area during the main summer months then I would suggest you make a reservation asap. Both the food and the service were excellent. The chef has to be praised for the presentation of the food. There is a set menu together with a la carte. On paying the bill we booked for the Saturday night. Once again we were the only tourists, all the rest were again locals. Quality on the second night was just as good as the first. My main courses were duck and lamb and my wife had fish. We both had salmon starters with wasabi which was both interesting and magnificent. Please do NOT be put off by the orange façade of the restaurant. Enter and enjoy the hospitality and food of the Belvedere. We certainly will when next back in the area.

We finally went to try this restaurant and must say that we have not had a better experience in Haute-Savoie. The food was excellent; the service impeccable; the price reasonable; and the accommodation of our large family was wonderful. The perch was the best that I have eaten in the region, the steak was tender and flavourful. Nothing but good to say. Too bad it is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the effort to go there.
