It is really European, even a smart place in the center of Kaluga. All necessary conditions and conventions of Steakhouse are observed. The Meat and bird were frying correctly that was combined with very good laying on wooden table ware.
Fast service and preparation of dishes, despite the late - less than an hour before closing - evening
To shortcomings - lack of the Kilkenny beer declared in the menu.

The traditional beetroot soup 'Borch' is the perfect entrè for a Beef 'Straffonof'... Rich flavoured small pieces of beef sirloin in a juicy mushrooms and onions thick sauce, accompanied by potato purè and salad. Nice French style berries pancakes with vanilla ice cream for a sweeter experience. English speaking staff and menu are a plus, but a bit difficult to get the waiter's attention for the dessert.

Visited this cafe when travelling through Kaluga (recommended by Trip Advisor and some local reference - heard it was a nice place).
Disappointed by the interior and location - looked like a deep side street, being factually located in the centre. The interior looks shabby, not vintage :-) As I got my tea, the tea pot was chipped, which supported my general opinion of the place.
What I couldn't find fault with is the service - the waiter was extremely nice and ready to help with the choice. Seemed to know the menu well, so was able to recommend a nice salad.
The price\quality ratio is quite good - not too expensive for the food they serve.
My positive vote is also for children's court - well equipped, many kids were playing there while moms were having a meal.
Although, I would pay the management's attention to the condition of the tableware and cleanliness and general condition of the bathrooms, if they are interested in becoming a prosperous cafe with higher rating.

Good that they have English speaking staff and I could purchase coffe + cake for 139rb. The capuccino was ok, but I ordered a coffe cake and the closest to coffee in it was a chocolate coffee bean looking like placed on the top of the slice. It was in fact an average chocolate mousse cake.

We arrived at around 8 without a reservation so we had to sit at the bar. But that was a wonderful decision as we got to talk to the talented bartender and see his skills. Nice food and friendly staff.

Here you can both have a rest with friends, and to hold business meetings. Variety of the menu: European, Pan-Asiatic, Japanese and Italian cuisines. And also pizza, and desserts which nobody will refuse! And there are we in a heart of the city. Delivery of food: pizzas, wok, beaters, sushi.
The food served there looks and tastes really nice! The prices compared to the european ones are quite low for the quality you get. We have tried Philadelphia sushi, Provence warm salad, mushroom soup and mushroom julienne! The waitress offered us for free 2 drinks and 2 little cakes.
The girl who served us was super nice and kind!!! They do have and English menu and some of them speak English :)
Definitely I am going to be back!
