Named for Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford has grown to become Canada’s premier arts town. In addition to the annual Stratford Festival, performing from April through October, Stratford is always filled with theater, music and visual arts. The preserved 19th-century architecture and acres of parks and gardens (along its own Avon River, no less) are certain to charm. Stratford has also gained a reputation for culinary creativity, showcased at some of the finest restaurants in the country.

For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.
I had the pork Wellington. It was perfect. Ten out of ten. One of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Perfect proportion, excellent cook, beautiful plating and a sauce that was magnificent. Truly well thought out and perfectly executed. Thank you. My only complaint is the cost of the wine. That isn't strictly directed at Keystone Alley, but so many restaurants in general where it's not uncommon to pay 3 to 4 times the price for a bottle of wine as you would in the liquor store. So unfortunately you end up paying a premium price for a mediocre bottle of wine.

We came here without Reservations after a 2 pm play @ Stratford theatre and although the place was beginning to fill up with clients attending the 8pm play, they were able to squeeze us in to a great table. Fine dining. Only complaint was that the main course was a little shy in the veggies as the chef was more concerned with making the dish look artsy although I must say that everything was very delicious.

We look forward to eating at the Annex but this year it was quite disappointing. I ordered the salmon that was supposed to come with root vegetables, and strictly speaking it did, a large helping of chunks of carrot smothered in a sweet sauce. The presentation was less than most of us would set at home, a serving of not very hot and messy white rice. The salmon was fairly tasteless. The other dish was no better.
The tiramisu was O.K.
Service was friendly and prompt.

The food was good and service great. It seemed to be a bit overpriced! We sat inside to eat our food and it was freezing. It appears there is a heating issue. I felt terrible for their staff who had to work in the very cold temperatures!!!

Another busy Saturday night downstairs at Pazzo. We had Reservations for 7:30 p.m. which is always a good idea. We had salads and customized pizzas. The salads we delicious - top quality ingredients and good presentation. The pizzas were excellent. A pint of craft beer was a perfect accompaniment. Would recommend Pazzos to any Stratford visitors looking for a great dinner in a casual atmosphere in a unique basement setting.

Bijou, a culinary gem in Stratford Ontario, honours the tradition of inventive French bistro cuisine presented on a daily inspired Chalkboard Menu. Our regular menu is complimented by our after 8pm shareable Food Flights and Small Plates featuring the best ingredients of Perth County. These delectable bites are perfectly paired with small craft wineries and the best of old world classics. NOW serving lunch.
My wife and I loved this place so much we ate there BOTH nights. Why go anywhere else? I had a goose liver mousse to die for the first night, and the brisket the second night had to have been prepared by angels. Service is highly professional. Make sure you have Reservations. Tables are a bit close.

The special was trout on cedar plant. It was perfectly prepared as were the roasted vegetables served with the meal. I also enjoyed the goat cheese and beat salad - excellent choice.

We are a small restaurant that makes amazing sandwiches and award winning salads. Come in for Breakfast or Lunch. Dine in or Take out. We are super fast and use fresh ingredients. Don't leave without trying one of our house made desserts! You won't be disappointed!
I have ate here numerous times, some an excellent experience and others horrible. This goes for staff, cleanliness, food quality and portions. Since it is rather pricey, for what you get, the bad experiences are hard to take. I will say breakfast is more consistently good than lunch. Catering is a mixed bag. I fear they are taking on more than they can handle is such a small space/need a larger location??
