While Rusty Rover Tours is listed as #1 in Stratford, a suburb of Charlottetown, we are a leader in our field and serve the whole Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island region. Charlottetown is the cruise ship port for Prince Edward Island. If you are visiting the island, Rusty Rover Tours is your choice of tour operators for shore excursions. Rusty Rover Tours is owned by Islanders Irwin Judson, TCP and his wife Joan. We offer both preplanned and customized tours as well as step-on guide service for incoming groups. Our guides are mature, knowledgeable Islanders who can show you the best of Prince Edward Island's scenery and attractions. We use comfortable and luxurious seven minivan and a twelve passenger luxury van. If your group is larger than five who can fit into a minivan, then we offer our very comfortable 12 passenger van. We are the only tour operator in Prince Edward Island with this high-end type of van. Our tours are constantly complimented for their itinerary and the quality of their commentary. For a friendly, relaxed and flexible tour try Rusty Rover. Come, let us show you Our Island!
Rusty Rover Tours took us (a couple) on a thoroughly enjoyable and comprehensive journey through all the features of Lucy Maud Montgomery's life including all the highlights of Anne of Green Gables. Irwin our host was most knowledgeable and it was clear that he had many connections with people that actually opened more doors for us than is usually possible with tours. What started off as a 4 hour tour ended up being nearly 6 as we visited the famous sites, buildings and shore lines that featured so much with LMM.
The tours can accommodate up to about 12 people. but for us on our day it was just two. For us he brought LMM to life.
We are very happy to recommend Rusty Rover Tours for the devotees of LMM and Anne of Green Gables.

We recently returned from the very best cycling tour, tip-to-tip from Cape North to East Point, mostly on the Confederation Trail. Cynthia coordinated our trip through PEI Cycling Tours. We had state of the art bicycles that performed flawlessly and we enjoyed fantastic scenery and...MoreDavid and Dawn, what a pleasure it was setting up your tour for you. You really DID IT! Tip to Tip. Amazing people with great spirits of adventure. Hope I get to see you again sometime, somewhere down the road. Take care. - Cynthia

This is a pretty course to play and it is in good shape. The fairways are wide and open and the greens are tricky.
You can play the course in a little over 4 hours with a pull cart, no need for a power cart.
We took a half day semi private lesson at the Fox Meadow golf academy from the pro there and thought it was well worth the money. The golf pro corrected a few flaws in our swing and we practiced we picked up some tips on our chipping and putting. It is a great facility and I would highly recommend it!

Love shopping for fresh produce, flowers and baked goods at Balderson's. If it's in season, it will be there, and be sure to get one of their generous enough sized ice cream cones while you're there too. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable, and will make you feel like family.

My wife and I were visiting Charlottetown from Australia between 28th to 31st October and it appears there is no bus tours on at that time of year to take you to different sites. Luckily enough when visiting the town visitor centre, we were told about a Taxi driver called Blair.
I called Blair from East Connection and was able negotiate a price over the phone with him. For $120 total, he drove us around for over 3 hours to Green Gables (the house was used in the film), Cavendish (beach) and Victoria (beautiful town, no shops were open, red sand, nice beach).
Blair is really nice guy and very knowledgeable, his happy to wait in car while you explore different area’s and take photos. Blair is an older gentleman and hard to hear at times while his driving but he is very friendly and made us feel welcome. Definitely give this guy a call (902) 393-5132.

Great time fishing with Capt Bruce Keus and his mate Josh!! They worked extremely hard to put us on fish both days! They spared no expense to ensure we were in the right place at the right time to get tight on a giant Bluefin! The food prepared by the Captains mother was insane! Lobster rolls for lunch and the baked goods were first class. Told her she needs to open a bakery! Truly an amazing experience. Cannot wait to fish with them again!!!

The cottages here must have been gorgeous when new, but while they are huge (3 generous bedrooms, a great room, two full bathrooms), they are very dated and need some work. Our unit smelled somewhat musty/damp, although linens were clean. The ceiling in the roof looked like it might have had leaks in the past and the outside of the roof had us hoping it wouldn't rain. Inside was very clean. Porch and BBQ looked somewhat dilapidated. Lots of mosquitos, too so no bbqing. The "golf course" may have at one time been nice, but now seems neglected. Even the office where you pay looks neglected and the golf clubs in there are ancient. My eight year old daughter commented that the trailer park beside the cottages looked like a place where "trailers come to die". The owners were nice enough, but despite the space we left feeling that we had paid too much for a sub-standard cottage. If you don't mind the feel of camping and have a large crew to house cheaply this might be the place for you.
