Booked here for first time as directly across from Southport theatre, where we were headed afterwards.
Booked for 5.45 and both ordered beer battered prawns with chilli and mayo dip which arrived 6.15 and were duly demolished and pronounced very tasty. Mains were a bit of a wait until 6.45 as the place was packed, probably due to theatre show. Crab ravioli was delicious and plentiful and the seafood linguine was equally as good.
Very nice food but book early if theatre is on.
2 drinks, 2 coffee's and 2x2 course meals for just over £50 is very good value for the quality on offer

Awarded Best Restaurant in Southport for the last 5 consecutive years by tripadvisor and 5 star rating on "scores on the doors" by Sefton council for the last 10 consecutive years.
I’ve got to say I’ve only been here the once with some family for a celebration.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the owner really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and the service is attentive. All the right ingredients for a good restaurant except for the actual ingredients!
The food is ok at best. So much so Me or my family would not go back again.
I eat a lot of tapas style food and this just doesn’t cut it for me.
I think a lot of people get carried away with the atmosphere and the welcome to be honest. But hey ho each to there own.

We are a small, family owned restaurant based in the heart of Southport, just off Lord Street. We offer a contemporary cuisine, using only the finest ingredients, freshly prepared each day by our award-winning chefs.
Lovely restaurant. I had the kedgeree and then chicken cordon blue . The chicken was very rich and I wouldn't choose again. The wine was lovely and a good price two courses for £12.95 . Staff very helpful and awaiting our arrival . I would return

Michaela and I opened Bistrot Verite in 2009, after working and travelling around France we loved the Ambiance of the Small, Cosy, Rustic Bistrots that you find tucked away in Provincial towns. With this in mind we have tried to create this in our home town of Southport in Birkdale Village. We serve Rustic French food but with a few dishes thrown in from around the world when I get bit Cheffy!!! Our Restaurant may not be to everybody's taste as it is small and can get noisy but to us this is what the hustle and bustle of what a Bistrot should be. We have a Great team of Professionals who look forward to Welcoming and Serving you. Bon Vivant xxxx Marc & Michaela Verite xx
Great service, great food and pretty good value. We went all in; drinks, 3 courses, two bottles of wine between 4 of us, coffees. About 65 quid a head.
This is very close to Birkdale station if you take the train and taxis are plentiful.
This is a small place, we went on a Friday night and our hosts had tried to reserve during the week. They seem to do two sittings and we were lucky to get a table, evne though our friends are regulars. Book early.

The Office is a new superb restaurant in the heart of the town centre. With sumptuous decor and classy lighting, incorporating booths for your dining pleasure.
This has become a monthly treat to eat here before going to the theatre. They are very friendly it feels and we always get good service even when it's very busy. There is a good choice on the menu and they always have specials on each night so you could never get bored with the menu. We have tried many different meals and loved everything we have had. I would definitely recommend The Office to anyone, it caters for all tastes and age groups. You can also have a drink in pleasant surroundings in the bar before entering the restaurant.

Visited on my own. Liked the look from outside better inside. Found table in quiet corner although very busy. Ordered the beef melt Pannini and Latte. Both were excellent. What really impressed me was the standard of service. My waitress Kim I think was her name greeted me with a lovely smile. Nothing was too much for her and the service she provided was friendly and efficient without being formal. I enjoyed the meal but the friendly service equally as much made me leave in a great frame of mind and wanting to visit again. Well done Kim you are a credit to your profession.
