Had a lovely meal last night - large portions and friendly service. I had the steak Sandwich which was tasty and cooked to perfection and my partner had the specialty schnitzel which looked amazing. We shared a dessert of apfelradl with ice cream which rounded the meal off perfectly. Prices were average for the area and the fact that the place was full when we arrived tells you everything!

While we were staying for 3 days in Saalfelden, we found this steakhouse in the center of Saalfelden. It is even nonfamous to many locals. The landlord was on this evening responsible for service and cooking (this was not a problem, because we made a reservation). As well was nearby (in Kitzbühel) the famous skiing weekend and therefore there were not that much tourists in Saalfelden.
The menu is not too big but big enough for the location. The steaks were great and the salads we ordered were fresh and good. Despite he was alone on that evening, we got our meals served after 20 minutes.
The only thing I criticized was, that there were not a big choice of desserts. A pity - therefore not 5 points!

Good food, many types of pizza and pasta. Service is good. Food was a bit salty for out taste. The place smells like a kitchen, and so do all you clothes after 30min in there.

Chinese restaurant with central location in the heart of the town, has good outdoor dinning space. You wont find any authentic Chinese dishes here as the entire menu is a mix of Asian come Austrian style, which means it fails on both counts. Last time I was there it was very salty and very bland. I would not recommend, it is second best form the two Asian restaurants in town.

the boss is surely a pro. he manages to get along with a small choice of sidedishes for the whole big menue card. although the service is very nice and the starters are very good too

Friendly family owned restaurant serving good quality food in good-sized portions. The Rehragout tasted well, the accompanying Rotkraut was very good. The Limoncelloeisparfait was OK, but the Heidelbeereisparfait disappointed being seemingly too old.
Wine list is limited.
I have no comparison with other restaurants in town.

The venue itself and the views are great. It is a shame that staff is not very friendly (which is an understatement). During our next visits to Huggenberg we took the short stroll to Forsthofalm, where the owner (Hilda) is very kind. Forsthofalm does not have an extensive menu, but the venue itself is interesting and the views are magic.

We've visited this restaurant because it was central located. Also the staircase up to the entrance made us curious. The waiter was competent and friendly. The service was quick and the food has tasted very well in my opinion. The children haven't eaten much, it was a bit to spicy for them. The single thing i was missing was more Chinese atmosphere. It is nicely furnished but something was missing.. I don't know. Overall a nice evening with the family.
