Visited this bar at numerous times of the day. They serve good coffee. The White House wine is very good. olives are served with your drinks.
It is busy around 5pm for afternoon drinks. But have always managed to get a table.
It can be a very lively place in the evening. DJ playing outside attracts the locals.
The burgers are very good. But unfortunately they have changed the tuna salad for the New Year and it lacks taste. Will be giving that a miss on my next visit. Great place shame someone thinks tuna with boiled potatoes and lettuce is a tasty plate of food! Why change something which was good?
Friendly efficient waiters.

After walking up to the steep hills and managing all the stairs from the centre of Camara der Lobos we arrived to this great restaurant, yes it was hard :D, and the food was amazing. What a great reward!
The service was brilliant. fast, helpful, smiling waiters.
The place was clean and simple. But the food was so delicious. We took chicken and the special beef skewer- espetada.the melting butter on the top did it even better. The beer was great and very cold!
Thank you for such a great place! :)

We imform our clients that we not open for lunch, and kitchen close at 22:00.. Informamos aos nossos clientes que nao fazemos almoços,e cozinha encerra as 22:00..
Meat eaters dream. This place is amazing, we had a platter between 2 which included rump, sirloin and fillet steak, washed down with Argentinian Malbec. The meat was accompanied with 3 wonderful sources, home made chips, olives and salad. All this came to around £30 each, a bargain compared to most steak houses. Whilst sat there I noticed the waiter shock the hand of every guess when leaving. All the staff were on top form. I can understand the great reviews

A new Restaurant with a modern and minimalist space using traditional and local materials with endemic pieces. Food is local to the island of Madeira with a couple of Mainland and international dishes. A high quality service provided by our experienced staff from Los Angeles to London and Monaco. Without doubt a place to visit whilst in Madeira that will enhance your stay in the island.
We stayed in the appartment next door and tried this restaurant on our first night - it was so good that we went back several times. We were made very welcome by the staff and every time the food was excellent - particularly impressive was the tuna belly. The house wines were very acceptable and the whole meal was good value for money. We would recommend booking a table as the reastaurant is small and very popular with locals as well as tourists.Well worth seeking out.

Located at the seafront of the Lido (Funchal) Leeno's is a small restaurant that is run by a team of young men who are focused to offer their clients a welcoming experience. Heart warming service and good food that is accessible to all people (locals and tourists) at reasonable prices. Their goal is to give you a reason for you to come back again.

Some of our specialities are served on hot Oak Planks. The hot Oak Planka maintain a nice temperature of the food during the time the meal is consumed but without any further cooking. Pay us a visit and you will be able to enjoy the best view Funchal has to offer while eating tasty meals prepaired with (antibiotic and groth hormone free) veal so called "Carne Mirandesa". If your preference is fish then we sugest our specialties, the wonderful Tuna fish grilled on charcoal grill or the Oven Baked Cod fish or the salmon. Our wines are carefully choosen and of high quality and taste. For Reservations visit our website or call us directly.
This restaurant was a suggestion of TripAdvisor App, and a very good one, I must say...
The restaurant is located on the top of the mountain, just above Funchal city center.
From the restaurant, it’s possible to have a 180* view of Funchal, including the big cruise ships (the big boats in the harbor).
The Owner of the restaurant is a local citizen, quite friendly, that will provide a quite good and fair description of Planka dishes, and will find time to have few minutes to talk with the visitors.
Once you finish your meal, the Owner will invite you to visit the roof top, where you can take amazing pictures.
I suggest you go around 1 hour before the sunset, so you can enjoy the transition from day into night.
The food is quite OK, although very particular as it is prepared in “low salt” approach, which provide a specific flavor to each plate.
We tried, salmon with a secret combination of aromatic herbs, and the meat was “Posta Mirandesa”, which is a Mainland traditional dish.
The price is mid-range, but the view and the friendly owner, makes it fair.
Enjoy!
