Palampur is a hill station and a municipal council in the Kangra Valley in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is the tea capital of northwest India, surrounded by pine forests and flanked by the Dhauladhar ranges. The town derives its name from the local word palum, meaning lots of water. There are numerous streams flowing from the mountains to the plains from Palampur. The combination of greenery and water gives Palampur a distinctive look.

This restaurant is Located in Palampur market opposite to a furniture shop where wooden chairs with iron frames are displayed. If you are on your way to Chamunda Devi or Baijnath temple then a decent place to have food.Few ladies enjoying kitty party inside the restaurant , looked like regulars as was evident from the conversation with waiters and body language.
Food is ok to have your fill, service is also ok,nothing to complain, taste need to be improved as basic items like pindi channa or paneer mutter could have been much better.little expensive by Palampur standards.Ambience is ok .
Pros- Need to improve on food taste, very basic in taste, quality is ok.
Cons- one time visit,no repeat value, kitty party ladies make lot of noise, laughing and shouting all the time.As there are very few decent restaurants in the neighbourhood so they are a monopoly.

this AC restaurant is located in the only mall in Palampur i.e. grand plaza , that has a car parking for upto 15 vehicles.
the restaurant is located in the 2nd floor & has a clean washroom.
we decided to go here after Reading reviews on trip advisor .
but , were very disappointed . Most of the dishes mentioned in the menu were not available . we ordered chicken 65, that hardly had any flesh on it , & the hakka noodles were average & lacked seasoning .The waiting time is 25 - 30 min. on an average.
Dominos outlet on the ground floor is a better option.

I was really happy when CCD opened their outlet in our small town of Palampur. Cafes’ provides a nice option for catching up with old friends. Everything here is standard as in all other CCD outlets, however the service is inconsistent and a little slow. For example on my three visits here (each apart by 2-3 months), my cafe latte tasted different. First time it was perfect just the way it should be and next time it was too mild, all I could taste was milk.
Also I think they could have done better than their present location. It is located adjacent to the road on the state highway connecting Palampur to Mandi/Kullu/Manali. I think they were targeting the nearby university students and the tourists. But Palampur is a beautiful town with heaps of natural beauty in the form of snow clad Mountains, hills and rivers and nothing’s better than sipping your hot coffee all the while gazing at those breath-taking sights. So a spot somewhere closer to the lap of nature would have been great. Anyway that’s just something from my wish list but they could at least try to be consistent with their coffee.

Sai Gardens, Palampur turned out to be our best holiday ever. The place is beautiful, surrounded by the Dhaualadhars, the staff was very efficient and affectionate and helpful. We already made anither booking after a few months with family. We recommend this hotel to everyone planning to visit Palampur. The rooms and food was very homely and they took extra care to make us feel at home. Its a very satisfying stay.

The 60 seater Coy's Cafe is the best restaurant in Palampur .Crucially, this is a restaurant that has never forgotten its humble roots, its sense of familial warmth, or the need to serve remarkably delicious dishes and outstanding wines. The menu experiments with local, seasonal ingredients to extraordinary effect.
The Coy's cafe is the beat restaurant in Palampur. We were staying at a so called 5 star hotel in Palampur but they had 0 star food and services. We came across the name of this cafe on the internet and going there was a changer. Excellent staff, delucious food and hospitality of the owners makes it the best i have ever visited. The owners personally take feedback from the guest. Where do you see such professionalism now a days?

Hand toasted , fresh all day
Wood oven pizza with lots of specialty choices. Their prices are reasonable and their menu is small yet varied. We ordered 3 Pizzas and I personally loved the charred bits, indicative of cooking with fire. The vibe is interesting, the location is fantastic and to be honest when there's Pizza on the table you don't ask too many questions. Find out for yourself !

Was here on a official trip and stayed at the Sarovar hotel which has the most amazing revolving restaurant giving a full city view and view of the Dhauladhar range.
The buffet food was amazing with choices of Indian,Chinese and Continental and a reasonable price. The service staff was superb and they were more than happy to accommodate my requests .
