Local New Zealand food ,Stonegrill
Consistently high TA reviews have been fully justified in our recent experience. Pre-booking is essential as confirmed by every table taken during our dinner in which we decided to restrict ourselves to stonegrill eye fillet and sirloin steaks. The food quality and size was excellent and the novelty of self cooking on the C400° stones at your table certainly works. Wine menu selections offered excellent matching choices for the meal and the overall experience was memorable. Service was engaging even under some competing demand.Recommended.

Great place to eat, quiet and secluded, light lunch with a beer to quench your thirst. Excellent service , plenty of space between tables local ducks on the pond to keep you amused, beautiful manicured Gardens and golf course. Big trees and views of the Mountains and Coronet peak.

This is a 6-7 minute drive out of Queenstown in a residential area, but well worth it. The food is absolutely first rate, different from the usual tourist menu, served by one of the owners in afriendly, laid back but efficient manner while the other owner cooks - brilliantly! Very informal, unusual, relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere . Great wines, great food and excellent value for money. No views, but if you're concentrating on the food, wine and conversation who cares? Highly recommended.
What a find in Fernhill away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. Danny, the proprietor will look after you well. Do book. The food was very good and the selection of wine was interesting - ask Danny! Well worth visiting in a quiet location.

Such an innovative menu. I didn’t know where to look. It was exciting.
Rabbit and Ophir Thyme pie, Reserve Silverfern Farms beef eye fillet and Provenance of lamb rump. The sides included corn with silver beet in a curry sauce.
My beef was excellent had duck pate with it, and was very enjoyable. Added to this was some noted regional wines that could be ordered by the glass. Try the Valli Bannockburn.
Desert was less adventurous included raspberry sorbet, pitches brûlée and cheese plate.

My lovely wife and I were staying with friends in Arrowtown and we all visited La Rumbla for dinner one evening. Wow! What a great place! Relaxed ambience. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. And amazing food! We shared the octopus, the tiger prawns, the salt cod balls, the patatas bravas and the Andalusian tomato salad. Everything was very, very good. Portions were larger than you might expect for a tapas place so five dishes were plenty between four of us. We also shared the blackberry, goat's cheese & honey tart for pudding. Just a couple of mouthfuls each but it was yummy. We also had a few drinks, bringing the bill to NZ$180 or so. Pretty good value given the quality of the food. I can see why they're rated number one in town. Highly recommended.

You are welcome to try our complimentary samples of olive oils and pure fruit balsamic vinegars. Bistro Gentil was recommended in the 2014 Cuisine Good Food Guide.
A wonderful experience - the food will challenge your taste buds. The service is also excellent so when in Wanaka, don’tmiss this great restaurant!

Fab place to stop and enjoy a generous cup of coffee and home made treat. Staff were really friendly even though they were super busy ... well done management! Love the ambiance and funky crockery. Would definitely call in again ... probably even make the trip from Oamaru just for the experience.

Pedro's House Of Lamb offers only one dish to Take away: a tender whole lamb shoulder slowly cooked over 4-5 hours. Garlic and rosemary bring out the delicious flavour and scalloped potatoes accompany the dish. In Queenstown we also do deliveries for $8 Extra (between the Fernhill, Frankton and Arthur's Point area)
Was told about pedro's in Queenstown by a friend, so thought we would try it over the weekend.
Well worth the money, two large meals that easily fed four people.
The roast lamb just fell off the bones and the seasoned scalloped potatoes were very tasty.
If you like roast lamb, this is the place.
They deliver in Queenstown too.

Taco Medic is here to attend your hunger emergencies. Our specialty tacos are made with the freshest seasonal produce, free range meats and seafoods, wrapped in an authentic daily pressed corn masa tortilla. Healthy and gluten free, come and be cured. You can find us in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand. Visit our Taqueria on Searle Lane in the Queenstown city centre 11am till 10pm 7days, or our Taco Truck operating 7 days a week at the Queenstown Airport this Winter. Our hours there are 10am till 5pm.
Where we’re from, we take our tacos seriously....very seriously. Taco Medic, while having it’s own twist, filled our taco craving. The Fisherman and Bushman were among our favorites. All of them were delicious. There is no view. It’s on a street that looks more like an alley but the food makes up for all of that. (You could also enjoy your tacos lakeside.) The tacos are $7 each but are quiet large. A bargain by Queenstown standards. The service is good too. Very personable and prompt. Love that everything is gluten free.
