We enjoyed the four course meal (included with our room rate). It was an excellent preparation of venison. Dessert was first class as well.

One true gauge of how one feels about a meal in a restaurant is expectation plus experience (either positive or negative). If low expectations are exceeded by far, a happy dining experience results. On the other hand, if high expectation are not met, dissatisfaction reigns. Our lunch at Loreleyblick belonged in that first category.
As its name indicates, (Loreley View) the location of the restaurant is perfect for a great view of the fabled cliffs immortalized by Heinrich Heine's poem and the popular folk song. The restaurant looks and feels like hundreds of other places along tourist routes, as does the menu. Since it was Spargel Zeit (white asparagus season) - a time held in almost religious esteem by Germans - we ordered the white asparagus plates with hollandaise sauce and different accompaniments.
What was brought to the table were perfectly cooked asparagus in a light, superbly rendered hollandaise, together with new potatoes. A splendid dish, especially when drinking the crisp Koblenzer Pils as an accompaniment. Finishing the generous plates, we were happy and grateful to have stumbled upon such a find - and yes, the view of the Loreley is beautiful (just disregard the giant ugly RV park).

Unique is the Panorama Restaurant Loreley in St. Goar on the Rhine, directly opposite the world-famous Loreley rock. Enjoy regional specialties and local wines from top winemakers in familiar atmosphere. In the afternoon you can enjoy a rich variety of fresh cakes and pastries with specialty coffees. We are very pleased to welcome you! Your family Theis and employees!
We stopped by the Panorama Restaurant Loreley only because it appeared to be the only restaurant open on the cold rainy March 2010 afternoon we were driving up the Rhine. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean, well-appointed interior of the restaurant, and the warmness of the server. The food was also very good; comprising schnitzel with mushroom sauce and schnitzel with roasted tomatoes and cheese. The salads were equally good. Service was a bit slow, but then there was only one person working when we arrived.

Great service, delicious food. They had an English menu which we appreciated. Would definitely return. There is an older lady who I'm guessing is the matriarch of this family run business. She was working as hard as the younger staff and smiling the whole time. She was an inspiration!

This is the second of three nights of wonderful dinners. Last night it was in Cochem, tonight and tomorrow it is here in Bacharach.
My wife and I were staying at the hotel Bacharcher and our friends wanted to try out the restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed with our decision. We sat down and noticed that their were two tables filled with women laughing and have what seemed the time of their lives. It made for a fun atmosphere for us.
Again it is hard to say much about the meals except they were exceptional, again everyone raved about their meals. (we were the lucky ones to stay there so we enjoyed the breakfasts as well).
Again, we let the server pick our wines and we were very happy with the results.
Order anything and I dare you not to enjoy it.

We had a great subfaturada lunch at the restaurant! The food was delicious and the service really good, specially Ana and Antonia, two brazilians that were very nice with us. The restaurant is typically German and a great old medieval decoration! Recommend it!

We fell inside bedraggled after walking through a downpour and were welcomed. All we wanted was some coffee and cakes and what we got was very good. The service was quite slow and we could not understand this considering our small order but we had time to kill so it did not matter. The house is in a marvellous position overlooking Oberwesl and the Rhine and on a sunny day must make a lovely spot for an outdoor lunch.

Within walking distance of our vacation rental in Urbar, we went to the biergarten for lunch the day we arrived in Germany. A couple of us had the Gulaschsuppe, and as an impromptu contest continued to order the dish whenever it appeared on the menus of other restaurants during our subsequent three weeks in Bavaria. By far, the chef at the Loreleyblick Maria Ruh makes the best Gulasch! The keys to this success are the consistent dicing of the ingredients and the marvelous balance of spices.
Another evening we came back to the restaurant for dinner and had a delicious meal including a regional blood sausage dish. We sat outside overlooking the beautiful Rhine valley and the Loreley rock, enjoying our lovely desserts.

We spent four nights in charming St. Goar and learned from our host that Alla Fontana would be open only on our first night while there, then closing for two weeks. Not fully appreciating how popular it is, we arrived without a reservation and this small restaurant was full. We were about to give up when one of the diners, a gentleman sitting alone at a small table near the door, invited us to sit with him until a table became available. We had a lovely conversation and in pretty short order, a nice quiet table was prepared for us. Okay, so we had hoped to try some traditional German cooking on our first night on the Rhein but we were so happy to have had a chance to sample the superb Italian offerings in this well-run and friendly place. We both had a delicious, fresh salad and shared a whole pizza along with a 1/2 carafe of wine. We really enjoyed ourselves, the food and company of other diners, and believe you will, too.

It was time for some food other than German. We found this pizza restaurant on the main strasse in Sankt Goar. Good selection of toppings plus other Italian items on he menu. Beer & wine of course. The service was excellent & everything was priced appropriately. Good experience overall.
