Nach 2 langen Wanderungen sind wir hier jeweils eingekehrt. Die Terrasse bietet einen sehr schönen Ausblick, das Personal war fix und sehr freundlich und das Essen schmeckte allen gut. Was will man mehr auf einer Hütte? Die Kinder haben sich auf dem anliegenden Spielplatz getummelt und wir haben die Beine hochgelegt...
Bei der nächsten Wanderung sehen wir uns sicherlich wieder... ;o)))

We went there without a reservation and just got the last table. We ordered a local wine (OK), Wiener schnitzel (excellent) and pork medallions (excellent). We both also ordered potato salad and fried onions (again both excellent). The presentation was outstanding.
The greeting was friendly and we were immediately recognised as British, spoken to in English and given an English menu, although the specials were only in German which our host translated for us.
The atmosphere inside is of a traditional Bavarian restaurant (a very busy one!) and remember it only opens at 5pm and is closed on a Monday.
We will return for one of the best meals we've had for a while.

Modern meets traditional bavarian charme,here a well balanced combination in near perfection.Food is very good,service outstanding and atmosphere relaxed. Next time i will take part in their well-known cheese-making courses in the Hotel even if it costs me half a day skiing! Not to miss the "Dorfladen" beside the restaurant which sells their own products(cheeses,Molke,honey,bread,milk,...) and bavarian souvenirs.
We'll be back next year.

We spotted this place from the bus and it has an biergarten, so decided to pop down that evening. Our accommodation at the Mondi is only a 10 min walk away.
It was not an evening for sitting outside, so we went in.
The menu has lots of traditional German food and we opted for a pork fillet in Brandy sauce on pasta and pork with red cabbage and dumpling.
We were not disappointed, it was delicious and good portion size.
It was a Thursday evening and they had live music on (which seemed to be the case each Thursday) and Rudi was very good. It was all easy to listen too and some of the locals were evening dancing.
A good, traditional, local evening.

Overall good selection for everyone of healthier options. My only disappointment was there were no prices. I also would have liked the option to do a la carte vs. fixed menu. All in all, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Very pleasant experience. Restaurant is located on the old peaceful square right next to the church, surrounded by flower Gardens, Fountains, Bavarian houses, and with mountain view. Food was excellent. Steak was exceptionally tender and delicious. Potato soup, Knoedel, all homemade Bavarian dishes on a rather high level. Recommendable.

An unusual mixture of shop & cafe inside a lovely decorated blue house over 3 floors with good self-service cakes and soups and snacks.A real treat and well worth the visit.

We ate here twice during our stay in Oberstaufen, choosing it above other restaurants for a 2nd visit.
It had an old, world feel about it. The schweinmedallions and schnitzel were delicious.
It was popular and we were lucky to find a table on each visit.
The service was excellent.

After a long day hiking, this place was just the ticket. A warning though, its very popular, we stopped by at 7 on a Sunday night and it was full, we arranged to return at 8 and it was worth the wait. Food was extremely tasty, pizza bread starter was superb as was my wifes grilled Calmari. Why only 4 stars, well for a couple it wasn't overly special inside, no background music (not always a bad thing) and my wife only gave the toilets a 4, and she was being generous (old fashioned, smelt a little, hand dryer not working etc.) But the food was excellent and we'll probably revisit.

this restaurant is located in the MONDI holiday resort just outside Oberstaufen. The service is friendly and welcoming ( real Italian owners), they are great with kids, the helpings are enormous and the taste of the food is good as well. We went a few times during our stay in an apartment as there was snow and it was convenient and we were never disappointed. Good service, good food, fair service/ price ratio, so everyone was happy. We will go again, when we return to the MONDI club one day, which we most probably will.
