Kallikrateia (Greek: Καλλικράτεια) is a municipal unit in Chalkidiki, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality of Nea Propontida, before which it was a municipality with its seat in the town Nea Kallikrateia. The municipal unit has an area of 108.894 km. According to the census of 2011, it has a population of 11,571 people. Nea Kallikrateia was established after the refugee crisis in 1922, mainly by the residents who came from Kallikrateia in Eastern Thrace and set up in the area, where the metohi of the Xenofontos Monastery of Mount Athos existed and it was called “Stomion”. Many testimonies report that it was inhabited by the prehistoric years; however, they are not confirmed.

Nice restaurant at the seaside, so with a good view. Food tastes good, but everything is pretty fat and was in a little pool of oil. Staff does their job but we've had friendlier staff in a lot of other restaurant.

In fact, it was our best culinary experience in Nea Kallikratia - we loved the food, the fast and friendly service, and especially the truly Greek atmosphere of that taverna just opposite the beach and around the corner from our hotel. Even when we didn't eat there and just were walking by at night, we could enjoy the view of the musicians playing traditional Greek bouzuki music. It was awesome!

I am local. This is simply the best value for money place in all of Kallikrateia. You can eat real seafood and pay like 10-12E per person. Foodis cnstantly good and owners happy to help. Definetely recommended.

It is a nice looking traditional restaurant by the sea. Its portions are good. Its prices are normal - lower than competition (we expected higher prices due to the fact that it is located so close to the sea and offers an exceptional view). The food is tasty. The staff is friendly. I think on Saturdays there is live music. If you visit it after 21:00 bring a light jacket.
Although the locals swim in the sea near the restaurant, there are a lot of boats on anchor nearby, just so you know.

This little restaurant by the sea was surprisingly quiet despite Saturday evening. The interior was fishery-teamed & quite cozy, prices on the menu were not quite cheap but reasonable. I ordered a grilled fresh squid, and it was just the best sea creature I've ever had! The eggplant appetizer was good, too. I'd surely come there again if it weren't the last day of my stay.

We arrived at 9.30 pm and were shown to a lovely table .
The service was the best on the island and food delightful, especially supplemented by some chilly flakes from the kitchen.
Our bill was €33 which included a bottle of their delightful house red
Top dishes plateful of small red mullets, fried aubergines and seafood risotto ( although called seafood rice)

So far this has been the best place in Nea Kallikratia we visited - tried few others but always came back to this one. 100% success with the food and service has been exceptional even in the busy hours.
