Fourth time here and not one disappointment. The food is great, another level in comparison to any other restaurant in Melbourne. The service fantastic and professional with some of the best Italians in Australia. The owner is a careful and caring person, always there, for anything you need. If I could I would come back tomorrow

Step back in time as you enjoy your meal in a friendly relaxed family run business.
Just arrived in Melbourne and went to trendy Carlton, not sure what to expect from this Italian restaurant. It didn't start off well, There was only a half portion of Cannelloni left for me, my partner had the last full portion. I has happy to have only the half portion with a salad. Lori the owner was distraught that there was not enough for a full portion for me.So she offered me any alternative I wanted, didn't"charge for the salad, offered us both a sweet and a liquor. I then asked if she could order a taxi for us, she went outside to get a taxi, because were difficult to obtain she even offerd the taxi driver a coffee to take us back to our hotel. Talk about going the extra mile. By the way the Cannelloni was great.

A Malaysian restaurant serving traditional and contemporary Malaysian dishes for the past 28 years. Home Delivery and take away available, licensed, BYO wine and champagne only.
My partner lives in Moonee Ponds currently I’m down visiting and he suggested Jacks.
In my opinion your food is flavoured beautifully one of those restaurants where you don’t need to overstate what is on the plate to feel the full force of flavours.
You have an understated restaurant with an over the top fantastic menu and the customer service is the bonus.
Modesty is the key to your success and you are a real gem in a location out of the city.

Experience Melbourne’s finest Middle Eastern dishes along with fresh vegan options at Rumi Restaurant. A great place to share fabulous Middle Eastern dishes with family and friends. Started with variety of dips then stacks of shared smalls and mains - spicy chicken wings, meatballs, eggplant, lamb (fantastic) and more. Wine and cocktails a winner too. Upmarket place with friendly vibe. Every table on our night was having a great time. Plenty of parking in side streets.

I called in for some takeaway food on December 31st, after a 45 minute search of a greek restaurant that would be open and available for such an order. The gentleman at the bar who took my order was most helpful, and food was ready in such a short time that I was really surprised. Especially since the restaurant was fairly full on such a busy night. The takeaway menu is really well priced, and I was entirely happy with the freshness and taste of the food.

A colleague put me onto this restaurant and it was great.
The entree was to die for. Cannot remember the exact name, but it was a shaved meat/charcuterie dish with buffalo cheese and Parmesan cheese. That was absolutely enough for me and 2 other of my table as it was magnificent!
But then onto the mains....
The Dry aged beef was incredible. My cut was rib eye on the bone 'rare' and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection.
I didn't have dessert, but of the 5 of us, 4 did. Three had Tiramisu and wait for it - they bring out the biggest bowl of all time and give the biggest piece possible.
All said it was amazing.
Total cost with entrees, main meal and 4 (of 5) desserts was incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and 3 bottles of wine.
Not for kids at all and was very surprised they did not cater at all for vegetarians.
Definitely will go again.

Had been looking forward to returning here as we had a fantastic food experience recently. Very busy Saturday night and lucky to be seated on arrival without a booking. Must have been a bad night in the kitchen as although everything that we ordered landed on our table quickly and seemed fresh and portion sizes good nothing seemed to suit our palates, perhaps We have gone off Thai food ?? Fantastic service as usual but it is on the expensive side. Will return, highly recommend if You love Thai food.

Had breakfast/brunch here and we were very impressed. The cafe is opposite the train station and is an unassuming, slightly trendy but comfortable place. The menu was quite extensive and very reasonably priced. The corn fritter meal was very tasty and generous, to the point that I was able to take some home with me. The "full" breakfast again was very generous, bacon, pork and fennel sausage, mushrooms, tomato, sweet potato hash brown, eggs and toast. Both of these meals were under $20! Staff were friendly and overall the place is a real find. We hope to be back again.

My family have been dining at Squires for several years and have always recommended their steaks. Unfortunately the standards have slipped and on three separate occasions my medium eye fillet has been rare. The first occasion I ate around the edges and gave the rarest piece to my husband who doesn't mind raw food. The next outing I sent the meal back and they did cook a new steak beautifully but eating alone is no fun. Last night the rare fillet was placed in the oven with the chips and sauce and returned to me like a leather boot. I have come to the conclusion that dining at Squires Loft, Essendon is an expensive exercise in disappointment.
