Sicilian cuisine, mostly from Siracusa
Don't let the entrance fool you. it is on a quiet busy street, but the tables are on the backside and really on the sea shore.
Antipasti were excellent, the pasta also and the fish served as main course was fresh and tasty.
the personnel was friendly, the price justified.
We had no complaints at all and were really happpy.mwarmly recommended when staying in Marzamemi.

We were driving in the Pachino district, in the quiet season, and finally found L'Approdo. Our kunch cost only 28Euro! It was an appetizer medley of: gamberi rosso; marinated anchovies; stuffed mussels; stuffed sardines; roasted red pepper; sardine roll; fried anchovies with caramelized onions; octopus salad; squid in tomato sauce; marinated baby shrimp; and a tomato salad. Followed by ice cream cones on the house. WOW. The restaurant is very close to the nice beach here, and has both indoor and outdoor Seating. Service was very nice.

Some amazing restaurants.organised around the extremely picturesque Piazza Regina Margherita. Beautiful during the day, bustling with locals and tourists, and as night falls, the piazza is taken over by live bands and DJs who provide entertainment for anyone in a dancing mood.... Excellent seafront fish restaurants are dotted all around the piazza. Marzamemi is well worth visiting.

this restaurant uses all local products of the area, and the taste of the enormous pizzas is fantastic. I chose "The Etna" and it was flavoursome, well cooked and absolutely delicious.
Seating is both indoors or out and is patronized by the locals of Marzamemi.
We had a freshly made green salad with the famous "cigliecino" tomatoe of the area, two pizzas (enough for 4 persons) and 2 half litre of red "vino di casa" which came to 30e.
The service was quick and we were treated to their delicious "granita" one of almonds and the other pistachio. Well worth visiting after a swim.

Great ice cream with large variety of flavours. Welcoming service. Both adults and kids found the ice cream they liked and all were happy. Perfect place to end the tour of the village.

Best food we had during our 2.5 week holiday. Usually busy, there are only 5 or 6 tables. Restaurant is self-service...you go in to order, look at blackboard & cabinets. Take cutlery, drinks etc back to table, and clear up afterwards.
Food is sublime. On our first visit we over ordered. Really yummy fried calamari for me and a sausage type pastie for him. Then 2 huge fresh tuna steaks with salad & bread.
We just could not eat it all (lucky cats). With 2 beers price came to 32euros.
We visited several more times, both for dinner and to pick up items (more pasties and arancini) to take back for lunch.
Restaurant is in a beautiful old passageway between the old harbour and the square. We were lucky to be there when weddings were taking place and could watch the guests in all their finery walking through to dine.
We could not always get a table, I can't be bothered to queue, so had a reserve restaurant in mind.

Store &book bar + kitchen
The exterior of this restaurant suggested something other than mainstream and to an extent, so it was. The attractive interior is principally a restaurant but with soaps, creams, jewellery, books and the like for sale on stands round the outside of the main room. Warm welcome and a good range of dishes, most at perfectly reasonable prices. One of our dishes was I suppose in effect a fish salad, but not your average fish salad with generous helpings including mackerel, spada, et cetera and a little anchovy round a bed of salad. The Sicilian cheesecake was delicious, but, be warned, very filling. With wine and coffee, €50 which given the quality et cetera was I thought pretty reasonable. It was a touch cool to eat outside that evening, but if you, great spot in the main piazza.

It's very good!
We had a late lunch and came in here because it was the only place in town that was both open and did not have a bored chain-smoking man stood in the entrance.
Nothing at all fancy, but turned out to be perfectly proportioned in ambience / setting, food and service.
Tables and chairs are basic, looking onto the sea and a little boatyard / scrapyard that makes for great photos whilst awaiting food.
Food is simple and perfect Italian, spaghetti, seafood. Fittingly, probably the best bruschetta we had on our entire trip.
And the owner just suits it all perfectly. Price seemed fine also.

The mussels starter was excellent. Unfortunately, although the beginning of dinner service on a Saturday evening they only had one 'Scottona' beef steak for two (T-bone). The food and service were excellent as was their cheapest red wine - Barone Sergio 2009 which was priced at only €18.00 although the shop down the street sold it at €12.00.
Wish they'd bought another Scottona T-bone at the excellent butcher down the street.
