I use to eat in the restaurant 2-3 times per week.
The restaurant is quite busy, in the lunchtime in particular. The restaurant offers good selection of daily menu (7 meals) for 3.50-7.00 euros. There also is a stable menu with 30+ items (5-15 euros). The stable menu is complemented by seasonal offers (5-6 seasonal menus per annum).
My experience is overwhelmingly positive. The restaurant offers really good food for reasonable prices.

Jakuba is a nice restaurant. There is always many people there, but they are there for a reason. The food is excellent, the staff is polite and service minded and the atmosphere is great. Menu in both english and slovak.

This B&B with a restaurant is a hidden gem in the city centre. We have stayed here over the Christmas break and have nothing to complain about. The place is tastefully furnished creating a feeling of luxury with views of the city centre. Even thought he location is in a busy part of the town, this had no effect on the noise levels, you would think you are in a secluded area once you closed the doors behind you.
The food is amazing, the chef deserves a medal, the portions are humongous and the prices are very reasonable.
All the credit goes to the staff who made us feel special and went out of their way and beyond their responsibility to accommodate us. Whether it would be the odd pint after the bar closed or a tea up to the room, they always obliged.

well, firstly it not only a restaurant, it is place where you need to go with kids, so see all the animals - horses, pigs, sheep, turkeys, ducks etc. and they produce also their own products - special cheeses, bryndza, sour milk, or meat products,
and they offer also some typical dishes prepared from these products - as bryndzove halusky, sulance or kapustica. - so the typical old slovak dishes - and are very tasty.

I was booked to stay here by my boss on a business trip to Martin, my first thought was why am I not staying in Martin, so was expecting to have to travel there each evening to eat... Wrong, the chef here was magnificent and offered a great selection on the menu, breakfast was ok. But what a surprisingly lovely hotel set in a tiny town, just outside Martin, the staff were excellent, attentive and friendly, especially Eva on reception. There is plenty of original art around as well as lots of plants a well, so I liked the place. My only fault was the maid did not attend to my room two days in a row? And the single beds are pretty small for a six footer.. But minor details, would come back here anytime...

Build in a way to remind of traditional Slovak architecture but located in an unappealing environment, the interior is interesting, even charming. The food is ok, but without fantasy and for sure not something that you will remember.

We stopped by in this former Harley pub, which was well known for quality food.
Even though parking lot besides was almost completely full, we found a parking spot. This was showing us immediately, that restaurant is almost completely full. We found 1 free table, within a minute we got menu and very nice waiter came and chat with us for a while. Highly appreciated.
We had muhsroom soup, chicked breasts with mushrooms and beef/olives(Shooted mexican) with garlic bread. In nutshell very very tasty stuff, waiter forgot to bring us one tea, after we told so, immediately he appologized 4 times and brought it. I think the tea was in the end not included in the final bill.
Summarized highly valued restaurant, highly recommended!

This place is situated in the pedestrian zone of Martin town. The place serves Pizza and other dishes. The steaks are good, much better than what we expected . One good thing for us non Slovak speaking was that they have a menu in English even though the prices were not updated. We visited twice and had Pizza the second time and this was also very nice it is rare to get pizza where you think that maybe the cheese was a bit too much. Staff reasonable polite.
