Managed to get a table for 2 without booking, but this was towards the end of the season (in September).
Had an excellent quality 3-course meal; a little on the pricey side, but worth it. This is not a fast experience (we were there 2 and a half hours), and the service sometimes seemed a little stressed (although friendly)...but this didn't detract from our meal. Would definitely recommend for a treat!

We visited this restaurant this evening. It wasn't busy, 6 occupants in total, but the service was very slow, mainly because the patronising waiter was chatting. He was also very rude. The steak was VERY tough, inedible, the waiter's comment to this was to mock and comment that to leave food was like ''children'', no apology or concern that we had not enjoyed our meal.

Thought the decor of the place was a bit drab and depressing and didn't bode well for the food. However, staff were extremely friendly and attentive, helping us out with our poor French by translating what they could into English, and the food was really lovely, better than what I was expecting certainly!

We ate here one night as we were staying in a nearby campsite.
Food was good and no complaints about the service. They allowed my fussy child to tweak the kids menu which pleased her! My other daughter and I had pizzas and although they were a bit burnt around the edges the rest was yummy. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed. We did not try the bowling but it looked fun.

-17 € lunch menu with garbure (meat and vegies soup), bbq lamb chps, and dessert
-nice choice of regional wines ; ended up with 30 € pp with 2 half bottles of wine, 2 coffe, and 1 tea
- the garbure was fresh and tasty, on of the best I have ever had (not like the burnt one we got the day before), with more meat than bones
- lamb was from the owner's farm, very tasty and tender, a real treat ! side potatoes were just perfect and tasted new
- chocolate mousse was light, and local sheep's milk cheese was delightful, light
- view from the terrase on a waterfall and Mountains
-quiet, as the village is not on the main road leading to the Tourmalet
-lovely and talkative owner
-really worth the 10 min detour from our trip between Lourdes and Gavarnie !

Eaten here two nights in a row The service is great and the two set menus at €25 & €35 are very imaginative and well presented. I could have eaten anything from either, it was a hard choice

Pizz' Ariane is an establishment which suggests a wide range of traditional and original pizza taking. Native of the region you will find the local flavors with quality fresh products and knowledge in the hand. The summer a Terrace at the heart of the village is at your disposal to eat on site.
We just came back form a visit in the area and the city of Luz st. saveur is a ghost town out of season. This means that all the restaurant are closed and there is almost no place to eat.
Luckily this little pizza place was open and the two lovely ladies prepared a great pizza for us. We took the blanca one and the vegetarian one, both very good.
Also, they prepared one pizza but it got over baked. So they didn't slack and prepared another one for us and gave us a small discount for the hassle. Very good service!
Prices around 8-12 euros for a pizza, mainly takeaway

We spent 4 nights in Luz-Saint-Sauveur and on our last night there we went to L'Atelier for dinner. Although nearly empty they seemed a little off put that we didn't have reservations; and our speaking only marginal French didn't help, either. Sabina, who served us throughout dinner, did speak very good English, and made every effort to make us feel welcome and provide her best service.
As the courses started to arrive we quickly realized that we had chosen wisely. The presentation was spot on and the flavors excellent. My wife had a excellent viewpoint to observe the young chef as he plated the food. If he prepared the food with as much care as he plated it, then that clearly explained the flavor.
Should you go there, ask for Sabina. The older server whom I have named "La Madame" seemed more focused on observing as opposed to serving leaving Sabina to do 95% of the hustle. No worries, cause she is up to the task.
The logo on the exterior sign for the restaurant is a needle with a thread attached. We noted that the cloth napkins had an embroidered needle with thread, as does the business card, as does the snazzy little leather pouch for l'addition. The furnishings and atmosphere are light years away from most of the establishments in Luz; and while the amount charged is also light years away, we still thought it good value for what we got.

This is a small, friendly pizza restaurant. The service is fast, friendly and efficient and whilst the number of pizzas on the menu is a little limited, they are willing to make individual changes. The prices are very reasonable and eating in the courtyard area away from traffic was an altogether pleasant experience.
