Ardiden Velos is a bike rental company based in Luz St Sauveur in the heart of the Hautes Pyrenees, just 19km from the Col du Tourmalet. We have the best quality carbon and aluminium rental bikes in the Pyrenees. We also stock spare parts, tyres, tubes and great Tourmalet Maillots and Tee shirts.
I rented a bike from Ardiden Velos earlier this month with excellent service and advice. They know their stuff and can answer travel question for the area. Will rent from them again in the future.

Luz is a beautiful little town at the bottom of the Pyrenees where snow is plentiful in the winter months. The ski station is a delight..it's small and competitively priced. Excellent cafe/restaurant and the runs are good. Plenty of snow and not packed. Take in the thermal baths when you are staying. Plenty to see and do and plenty of good restaurants.

We staid in the hotel across the Church of the Templiers. Located in a lovely square, the fortified church of Luz St Sauveur is well worth a visit. The paintings and religious icons (notably the 11th century Virgin Mary) are quite unique. Highly recommend it.

We explored the walking trail from Luz to Pont Napoleon which is suitable for most levels of fitness. The Pont itself is stunning with great history. We were able to walk a steeper trail to view it from underneath & get close to the water. We highly recommend having an icecream whilst taking in the views.

are the big jump! The wonderful bridge(deck) napoleon offers you the big opportunity(occasion) to take the plunge towards an unforgettable jump of 90 meters which will make for you frisonner of pleasure!! Luz's team always risks with the smile will produce your even bigger! Of 12 years (with parental consent) in 99 years (without authorization) a diploma will be put back(handed) to you as trophy
First time canyoning for us and we all had a great time. Initially very uncomfortable in the wetsuits but fine once we were in the water. There were 3 or 4 jumps ranging from 2 metres to about 8 metres but they weren't compulsory if you weren't confident. Scrambled through some pretty small gaps but all survived! Out for a couple of hours - I would have loved to have kept going. Highly recommended.

We started from the airtols campsite on our 1st day. The path that starts from luz was not very difficult or to steep provided you are physically able. Alright for a few photos and even better if you take a picnic.

Last weekend we rode the Marmotte Pyrenees with 6 friends. We got in contact with Tourmalet bikes because we wanted to stall the bikes for a night before the race. That was no problem. Even on the saturday before the race with loads of people around they did find the time to check our bikes and delivered a very good service. However they are renting out superb bikes as well so next time it would be fun to do the Tourmalet on a Dogma F10 ... Philipe,Claudette and Sven , thanks again and keep up the good job you are doing !!!

This chapel is nestled on the hillside above Luz, it is a lovely place to stop and admire the view or perhaps have a picnic. The chapel was locked, so we couldn't look inside, but it was quite impressive

This place is difficult to find as neither map nor satnav have it properly marked. On leaving Luz, pass the first bridge and look for parking Turon on your right. Easier to park in here and walk back 100m. The place offers a wide range of courses for all levels, and the black course requires a bit of strength and stamina but is certainly possible. The double mega tyro (zip wire) is spectacular. Whilst chaotic, there is a fun atmosphere, and although the instructors are very hands-off, they do insist on everyone hearing the briefing and taking the trial run. After that, you need to find your own way around. The transition between red and black was not well marked, and some of the equipment is not well designed - beware of entangling legs in pulley strings. For the more adventurous, this adds to the enjoyment though.
