Modern European cuisine in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We combine the classics with contemporary cuisine using fresh, local, seasonal ingredients where possible.
The Christmas menu was amazing. Our large group booking was made to feel very welcome. Despite there being nearly 30 of us, our meals came out at the same time, hot and completely delicious. The staff were fantastic. A five star experience and I would highly recommend.

I visited this restaurant with my husband and two sons for my hubbys birthday. We were not disappointed, all the meals were excellent, well presented and cooked to perfection. The service was really good with lovely friendly staff. Loved the fact if you spilt something on table they were there straight away to clean up. You didn't have to ask. Have visited about four times now over the years and they never disappoint. Lovely Cosy atmosphere too.

A fully re-furbished restaurant that has played host to a Thai restaurant and more notably Murray's which was a Portsmouth institution for many years. The former chapel for Portsmouth Grammar School has been delicately restored to a modern, sharp and elegant venue for fine dining.
We are fortunate to have this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep. Consistently beautiful food and outstanding service means we keep coming back.
The menus consist of many dishes, each carefully thought through and look gorgeous - so much so that it feels a shame to actually eat them! If you worry that you will be hungry because it is fine dining, worry not.
Wines are great and not too pricey with a team who are happy to advise on the best choices.
Get yourself in this restaurant, you won’t regret it.

Family run, traditional english cafe serving fresh homecooked food, with a view to providing meat, vegetarian and vegan options.
Came here with colleagues when visiting for business and on their recommendation, great cafe which was busy (we got the last table). Usual British food especially breakfast which looked great, I opted for the shepherd's pie special which ame with freshly cooked veg and was delicious! Very friendly and welcoming staff, very reasonable value at under £10 for lunch. Highly recommended and I shall return.

Went with friends and family and were glad we booked they were turning away a lot of people it’s a small place!
The service was ok
The food was lovely....
But my main course came 10 minutes before the rest of the table which was frustrating for all.
It’s a squash inside this place but great atmosphere

Visited for a family meal. Absolutely 1st class. Very friendly and efficient staff. The starters were very imaginative, particularly the scallops and black pudding. Food to a good standard. The cauliflower cheese was above average. Pricing reasonable. Main courses complimented. A walk around was quite interesting. Lovely views from the upper decks. Would certainly come back again.

Authentic Mexican, Caribbean and other cultural food as well as English Cafe favourites. Food available to eat in or take away. Based in Gosport, Hampshire.
hadnt been here for a while, thought i would take my children here for linch. to be honest wish i hadn't bothered the food was awful and over priced.
bacon roll no butter dry burnt bacon.
the pulled pork was dry.
all not particularly well presented
the burger was ok
the sweet potato fries and onion rings were nice.
there appears to be a change in ownership, and a decline in standards i hope things go back to how they were soon.

The Spinnaker Cafe is located in the heart of Old Portsmouth, Southsea, Hampshire. It is surrounded by history and has an amazing view of the Spinnaker Tower situated just over the water. It is loacated within walking distance to Gunwarf Quays and the famous 'Hot Walls.' We have a variety of delicious homemade food & cakes to offer to sit in or takeaway.
This cafe is always very clean. Also goes for the cuttlery, never smudged or watermarked. Never any greasy smells. The staff are always friendly and efficient. What I like most is the cooking and presentation of the food. The breakfast is always pristine. Never a mark on the food which suggests they keep the griddle and utensils clean for use. Never had anything overcooked or burnt. Very consistent.

I'm from Newcastle upon Tyne but mum is from Bedhampton. Only get down once/twice a year but always make a point of visiting the Lakeside cafe. Food has always been excellent, from hot meals to Paninis and sandwiches. Staff have always been friendly, helpful and welcoming. Although our visits aren't often, they remember us, we appreciate this. Thank you.
