We visited the Ruins for our daughter's wedding - what a beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding. The stone walls and walkway to the altar/stage area was simply beautiful and there was no need to go elsewhere for pictures. Definitely worth considering for an outdoor wedding!
From a tourist's perspective, it really is worth the drive out to see. There are various historic plaques to view and the countryside along the way is also most enjoyable!

Built in 1833/34, the jail operated until 2002 when the Ministry of Correctional Services closed the facility in favour of newer, larger facilities in major cities. The building houses the second oldest jail in Ontario and the fifth oldest court house. The cell blocks, common areas, exercise yard and visitation area have been maintained as they were when they were populated by inmates sentenced to jail time. Step right into a cell to experience life behind bars - at least for a few moments. There are stories of prison life from the point of view of the guards as well as the inmates. You'll also learn about escapes, and we have many ghost stories to share. Jail tours are now closed for the season, but if you wish to book a group visit or other experience please contact us. Please see our Facebook page for further details.
I went with out-off town friends. to have a visit last summer. We were standing in the tiny parking lot beside the prison, waiting to be let in, The front door was closed. The time was 11:55, at that time we noticed a person at the door. it is now noon. When we walked over together with a bunch of other potential visit., the door was locked again, the person we have seen previously was gone again. we knocked on the door, however nobody came to open up. We left, all 10 of us. We came back for the 13:00 viewing, now nobody showed up all. This seem to small village town operation, very sad. I certainly will not be back. just to let you know I am a local .

Stopped by for a quiet chat with friends and family. Lovely location, off the beaten track. Close to the highway, so a bit of noise, but certainly not too loud.

We are a small-batch, independent, family-run and family-owned brewery, concerned with making premium quality beer.
The microbrewery scene has exploded. Rurban quite the gem in Cornwall. Their beer is only surpassed by the owners and staff. Beyond friendly. Maybe too much variety, might be better to focus on fewer beers but what do i know, it seems to be working. I will continue to buy on a regular basis.

A great place for a family to enjoy a day in the country. The family is very welcoming, answering questions and even can show you around. Lots of animal to see and pet. Mazes are large and certainly can get you lost. There are tons of pumpkins in the field to pick from in October. They even do sleigh rides in the winter! Canteen on site too, selling hamburgers using beef from the farm. Try their pumpkin fudge as well.

I am an avid history lover and collector, i visited the museum this summer to mixed feelings,,, the museum itsself is great and so are the displays , but what left me with a little sour taste was that the curator did nothing ,,,, he went back to the basement and let me roam around without explaining anything, i proceeded to buy a few books and left.

Displays on Astronomy, Geology, Fossils, Dragons and Dinosaurs,Biology, Archaeology, Lost Cultures,Noah's Ark.
Information packed science center. Unbiased geological and science exhibits reveals the truth about origins and information other museums are afraid to publish. You will be surprised with the information and logical reasoning to explain various scientific data/ natural world observations.
