We had dinner in this atmospheric restaurant. The place and the staff who made it a special night were excellent. Matched by the food and wine of the highest standard. The white linen service was faultless. The food and cooking spot on. The four of...MoreDear Mike. Thank you very much for your feedback. Since 1994 Silk's Brasserie has been the go-to restaurant for quality dining on the Blue Mountains. Warm attentive service and great food set the standard. Open 7 days for both lunch and dinner, bookings are always recommended and often essential. (Check for public holidays, we're not always open.)
We had lunch here during a tour of the Blue Mountains area. A pretty interior. Because we were on a tour and schedule we were given the abbreviated tour menu and the choices were okay, but the regular menu had many more interesting items. We thought the service would be good and prompt given the welcome, but unfortunately, the service deteriorated as the meal went on. We all ordered easy and quick menu items, but there were a handful of large parties ordering off the regular menu and things really dragged for us. Our guide came back after an hour and figured we would be having dessert and we had not yet gotten our main course. The starters were good, but the main course really lacked much flavor. A very average meal with less than average service unfortunately for us.

What continually blows my mind about this restaurant is that I’m a huge fan already, and yet every time I visited it never fails to impress and wow .
I have been coming here for years for different reasons. The regular reason is a dear friend and I try to come at least yearly , usually Christmas ,for us to enjoy the view , and the incredible service and hospitality and the magnificent food .
After waiting for my friend whom had missed her train for a while , I can only thank the beautiful waitress that kept me entertained and offered humour and looked after me so well.
Her recommendations of the food were also incredible , their goats cheese soufflé was out of this world. I’m still tasting it. The asparagus, the squid and the figs dishes just sublime and the dessert so moorish.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Even on a cloudy day , when we usually love to sit outside and just take in the view , we still felt like we were on top of the world. Thank you again for a magnificent long lunch.

This noisy buzzing restaurant seems a hit with families. The menu is mainly pizza & pasta. My husband had pizza which he enjoyed, but wasn't out of the ordinary. I ordered eggplant parmigiana, which was a HUGE serve. It was extremely oily & salty. Staff were run off their feet but still managed a smile, were helpful & curteous.

Set in the historic Savoy picture theatre building, Avalon Restaurant & Cocktail Bar at Katoomba combines playful art-deco charm with hearty food, friendly service and spectacular Blue Mountains views. Located on main street Katoomba, enter the historic Savoy picture theatre foyer and make your way past the ticket booth and up the stairs. The restaurant inhabits the dress circle of the old theatre, and offers a decor of quirky retro finds and spectacular mountain views over Leura and the Jamison Valley. Meals are prepared in the old projection room, and cocktails and retro tunes are served in the former refreshment lounge, now a cosy bar complete with roaring fireplace. The art deco architecture is complemented by an eclectic collection of furnishings and artwork. The style of service is casual and friendly. Licensed and BYO wine.
A wonderful experience dining in an old art deco theatre among an extensive display of memorabilia and knick knacks. Service is excellent, friendly and professional. Menu has something for most palates, is well presented and with some generous serve sizes. We had an excellent time...MoreHi Emanpee, thanks for your lovely review. Quality traditional french cuisine reasonably priced, wonderful location and ambiance with spectacular views of the jamison valley. Bar, extensive reasonably priced wine list, outside dining, beautifully restored edwardian building built 1895 guest house with four luxury guestrooms, specials of the week. Open every day for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner except Wednesday and Thursday Musicians play regularly and Lunch on Sunday.
My fiancé took me out to a valentines dinner. Unfortunately we both agreed the service made this dinner one of the least romantic dinners we've ever had. It left us with a very sour taste in our mouths, despite enjoying the food. (Although butter with bread should be a given.)
We won't return, and we won't recommend.

Located at the top of Katoomba Street this popular local cafe offers a variety of quality food at reasonable prices. Locally roasted coffee and house-made sweets make this cafe a one stop eatery, dine-in or takeaway. Gluten free and vegetarian meals available. Mon - Wed 10am - 4.00Pm, Thu - Fri 10am - 9.00Pm, Sat 5.00pm - 9.00Pm. Closed Sunday & Public Holidays.
This place is an absolute find! Travelled with a teener and my grandmother... we split the lunch meal to 3 as it was a huge serving. It was a simple restaurant but always busy with Asians and whites. Toilet was clean, service was fast with kind helpful waitresses. Even the male supervisor was nice and very polite.
What more can I say?! Had salt and pepper fish, Asian buffalo chicken, Singaporean noodles. It was just pure goodness!

Service was good.
Ordered smoked chicken Sandwich (AUD11). Was expecting real chicken meat but it turned out to be chicken spam/bacon.
Washrooms are available.

We had a great community-style meal with friends on the eve of the 'Six Foot Track' Marathon, and really enjoyed the experience.
The pizzas are tasty and there is good variety, and the wine list is creative, with a good selection of local area wines, even organic ones!

Super fresh, delicious food. This popular cafe offers indoor or outdoor dining. Get in early to avoid having to wait for a table. Service is friendly. A little more attention could be paid to cleaning tables and windows. This is only a minor point.
