Tipsy

Small (it’s actually small - has only four tables to seat about 16 persons) yet cosy place.
Located bang in front of the car parking of Sadar Bazar (popularly known as Lansdowne Market or Bazaar).
The moment one enters, one feels good...
Only one young waiter (Mr Birender Singh, a soft spoke quiet and gentle man).
Reminds me of GRASSWOOD CAFE of Udaipur - similarly small and cosy and has the same ranking.
For payments they accept paytm, cash and cards (they say all cards are accepted- but don’t try AMEX, coz even in cities I’ve been told to give other cards)

Oaktown's Flavor

Reviewed By sumantra_travel - New Delhi, India

08 June, 2016.
OakTown's Flavour is a small restaurant in Lansdowne, which is
very close to the main market, in Gandhi Chowk, Sadar Bazar.
We went past this small joint quite a few times, which advertises
itself as a `multi-cuisine family restaurant'.
The advertising is quite extensive, since it also says,
`rooms available', implying accommodation as well. While most of
our meals were at our hotel itself (the GMVN Guest House), one of
our light snack-cum-meals was here: we had some dal and rotis,
which were hot and fresh. We washed it down with cups of tea.
Rates are reasonable, and the place is neat and clean.
Nothing fantastic, but nice, all the same!

Zayka Restaurant

We had our lunch here on a bright Saturday afternoon upon reaching Lansdowne.
This place is crowded and thus it is difficult to find a parking spot.
The serving took less than half an hour and we were served freshly cooked snacks and starters.
The food tasted good, and the additional servings did not take such time.
Overall a great family food joint.

Kalundanda Cafe

Reviewed By sumantra_travel - New Delhi, India

Kalundanda is the local name for the town, which got christened
as Lansdowne, during the British rule in India.
We had come to Bhulla Tal for a visit, and as can be expected, got
a bit hungry. While we had packed quite a few items with us, we
got a bit enticed by the dosas being served around us, but held on.
The cafe is a small place, with some Seating area inside, and a
larger covered area, outside. Even though the sun was relatively strong,
there was a cool breeze blowing, and it was also comfortable in
the shade. We sat in this shaded area, that had some tree trunks
in addition to the tables and chairs. We patronised this cafe for
four cups of tea, and an apple drink, an order which came to a total of Rs.70.
