We're loyal hotel guests (on our third visit) and really don't want to have to write this because we really do like the hotel, yet given tonights experience I feel I have to.
Our one night dining here - worse than previous experiences. Waitress forgot the appetizer I ordered and instead brought both mains. Little done to make up for the fact. Fries for my meal over saturated with oil that was likely not hot enough - a situation that also seemed to affect the glistening oil-soaked popadoms with my wife's curry (even had pools of oil on them!). One of us needs gluten-free and only regular bread brought to the table so a long time waiting for anything to eat. Slow service to refill wine etc and restaurant was half empty. No recognition of a poor experience (waitress seemed new). For the price there are far better meals we've experienced this week (Charlene the concierge makes excellent recommendations). Cannot recommend the Taboras for dinner although breakfast and lunch are generally good.

At the heart of Cobblers Cove and in a culinary league all of its own, the Camelot Restaurant offers island-inspired, delicious modern cuisine with a distinct Bajan twist. Recently awarded the highly-coveted 'Restaurant of the Year' award by the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association, The Camelot is recognised for creative gourmet cuisine and impeccable restaurant service. Under the direction of Michael Harrison, the only Barbados-born Executive Chef cooking in a 5 star setting on the island, Chef Michael trained under Michel Roux Jr. At Le Gavroche in London, before working at a number of world-renowned restaurants and returning home to Cobblers Cove in 2012. The Chef and his team source as many of their ingredients as possible from local farmers and fishermen, to make sure only the freshest, most flavourful ingredients are used to bring the true taste of the island to Camelot guests. Cobblers Cove's reputation for excellence in cuisine has earned the hotel its much coveted 5 star recognition from the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group, whose emphasis on food and wine has set the culinary bar at the highest level.
Excellent and delicious food in a great setting. Very attentive service and fresh ingredients cooked with style.

Staying at Royal Westmoreland, the beach beds and towels are provided free-of-charge and put out for you. There is a car park opposite, with some public parking and some for those staying on the estate. Putting a vertical flag (provided) up by your sunbed summoned someone to provide drinks!
It's only a narrow strip of sand, but you don't notice the road. Classic Caribbean white, sandy beach!
The restaurant serves really yummy food! I had the West Indian chicken curry (twice!) - large lumps of meat, cooked on the bone, in a slightly fruity curry sauce with rice. Delicious. I also had thai beef salad with a side order of chips one day - equally yummy. Not a cheap place, but the quality and service is good.
Various large inflatables on the water you could pay to play on - great for older kids.
Watersports available, but they did not hassle.
Restaurant had toilets and an outside shower for rinsing off sand - not glamorous, but functional.
Safe and classy. Liked it.

Reliable Chinese food, with a slight Bajan flare. There is a small restaurant and a bar area, but we use it for delicious takeaways. You can call and order in advance. Very reasonable prices and decent portions, all freshly cooked.

No need to wear trousers unlike some restaurants in Barbados. The portions are enormous and two dishes would have been enough for my wife and me if we had but known. We had the General Tao chicken, pork ginger and the Singapore fried vermicelli plus two portions of the special rice. All were good and the pork ginger was excellent. Total cost with two glasses of house white and a coke was $129BDS
Service was efficient and friendly.

You pay by item on your plate, we never paid more than $20 BBD for a plate of food. Flying fish, Marlin, Fried Chicken, Macaroni Pie, Rice and Peas, Bread Fruit, Plantain etc. etc. all washed down with Banks beer and a view out over the Caribbean...nice!

Be very aware that the price on the menu is not the price you pay. He adds vat and service charge to all prices, which means you pay 18% more. Surely this is illegal. Go somewhere else!
