This was our first catamaran trip and it exceeded our expectations in all respects. The catamaran itself is beautiful- pristine and in tip top shape. The crew, Tony, Casper, and our chef Lindel were exceptionally professional and personable. Our lunch was absolutely delicious and all 12 passengers raved about how wonderful it was. They picked us up at our house in Holetown and dropped us back after the cruise which was great. The cruise was really nice in that it went from Bridgetown almost all the way to Speightstown. They stopped for snorkeling or swimming and anchored for lunch at a lovely spot.
We can’t wait to return on our next trip to Barbados!
Thank you to the Seaduced team for such a great experience in Barbados.

Now I am one that normally runs a million miles from something such as this and/or craft-related places. I loved the comment in the Visitors Book which said 'My wife really loves your pottery'. Clearly, in this world of being politically correct, I cannot jump to the conclusion that this comment was written by a 'bloke' BUT if it was - then detected the undertones that this chap was in the same camp as myself i.e. there under duress.
That said, the place really grew on myself - plus the rest of the family. You could walk inside to see everyone working on the clay/pots etc and it was really interesting. In wasn't some polished-off show room but really was a true-working environment.
Then (the owner I guessed) gave a couple of the kids a chunk of clay each and they were they were off creating and it suddenly become an 'interactive event'. There were absolutely over the moon.
I for my part was most impressed with the visitors toilet (restroom)! Admittedly an odd thing to say but the wall was fully decorated with brightly coloured pieces of pottery - and coloured fairy-lights. It was wonderful.
All these little attentions-to-detail certainly notched up our view of the place (and even mine!).
Clearly the pottery is of a high quality. I was most impressed by the effort one of the staff went in wrapping and boxing up the previous customer's purchases. A thoroughness I could only ever dream of.
So by the time we came to depart, everyone was extremely happy plus we were blessed with our own-made a) turtle and b) Boeing 777. (The latter survived the rigours of Bajan roads slightly less well on the journey back home).

Apes Hill Golf Club

The newest golf course in the Caribbean opened in December 2009. Apes Hill Club enjoys a prime location at almost 1000 feet above sea level in the centre of Barbados. Located amongst a richly diverse landscape of rolling meadows, dense tropical forest, and coral stone quarries. The Club and its splendid amenities are establishing a new standard of excellence in the Caribbean. The developers, with a shared passion for creating communities designed to preserve and enhance their natural environments, have risen admirably to the challenge. The 470 acres of land has been divided into eight neighbourhoods with two two-thirds of the acreage ramaining as open space. Property owners have a selection of custom homes or semi-detatched villas which blend harmoniously with nature while affording unparalleled views of breathtaking scenery.

This is a wonderful course to play. It is expensive, but golf is on this beautiful island! The staff are very friendly and helpful, loading clubs onto your your cart (which is a must), ice in an icebox, water, towels... all you would expect from a high quality club.
The new clubhouse is very glamorous but does need a few tweaks. Breakfast was slow which is not ideal when you might want to practice before playing, maybe a cappuccino instead of coffee out of a thermos!
The course is fabulous. Challenging in places, wonderful views, monkeys if you are lucky and a cart that pops up regularly with cold drinks and snacks. Apart from the clubhouse, the loos on the course are not ideal especially for the ladies so recommend a comfort break back at the club after the 9th hole.

Hunte's Gardens

You might hear this garden before you see it; its delightfully eccentric owner,Anthony Hunte BCH, plays classical music throughtout the garden. this is the working end of old Castle Grant plantation, where sugar cane was once processed into syrup. Step through the gate and you'll soon tread on the old weigh bridge, where loads of cane were tallied. Just past the old stone outbuildings, where statues lurk among exotic plants, you'll find yourself on the lip of a great, hemispherical sinkhole in the limestone substrate. Steps lead down and paths branch out through an exquisite profusion of flowering plants, with towering trees around the edges. Both here and farther along the top are a series of small secret Gardens, where you can sit to absorb the serenity and enjoy a picnic. Be sure to climb the upper level steps to Mr. Hunte's house, a transformation of the old stables. He'll invite you for refreshments-including his legendary rum punch or freshly made lemonade (for sale)-on his glorious, antique studded verandah overlooking the garden. If you're lucky, he'll tell you tales, and you will surely leave with some of your own. If you're driving, follow the red and white signs that read Hunte's Gardens, from all over the island. Or, come by taxi. If you take the local bus from the Fairchild Street Bus Stand in Bridgetown it's #5 Sugar Hill Bus - Bds$2 each way.

A beautiful garden sadly not suitable for buggy’s or wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties as there are a lot of stairs and small winding pathways, but for the rest of us, an inspirational garden, I didn’t have enough time here, I suggest a minimum of 1.5 hours, more if you are keen gardener, lots of shady areas and Seating places if you want or need to take it slower,, I think there was a cafe we didn’t have time to stop,so not sure,

The last time I visited limegrove cinema was a lovely experience but this time was bittersweet for me. On arrival yesterday to see the emoji movie; the girl at the ticket booth had seemed so unapproachable. No standard English was used whilst speaking to customers and she seemed as if she didn't want to be there. Thankfully the waitress on the inside was completely different and was reluctant to assist me and brighten my experience. You guys really need to do something about the girl at the ticket booth.

Paynes Bay Beach

Reviewed By Sylvana123 - Blackpool, United Kingdom

Close to Sandy Lane Hotel and right in front of the huge condominium called Number One Sandy Lane. Two completely different buildings by the way. The bus stops right outside Number One Sandy Lane or there is a little parking on the road side verges. Walk down the path which runs down the north side of NOSL, turn left at the bottom, walking across the front of NOSL. There are lots of sunbeds for hire; again no more than 30BDS for the lot. Ideal place to take a cool bag with drinks & a picnic. Which is just what we did recently. There is a gazebo in the middle of the beach selling food and drinks, but it’s not really our sort of food.... on a previous visit I have walked back to the main road at lunchtime and along to “Sandra’s food truck” which is parked outside Sandy Lane Hotel... you can’t miss her, there’ll be a queue... well worth a wait though. We had lamb curry with rice and Jerk chicken with Macaroni Pie... all served with salad and in a polystyrene box to take back to the beach to be enjoyed on the sunbed.... I can’t remember the cost but it was not expensive.
The water at Paynes is OK. It wasn’t rough and there were people snorkelling. Lots of boat activity with 4 x catamarans anchoring up for lunch whilst we were there. The Jolly Roger anchored out to sea too, which was fun watching people walk the plank etc. Lots of jet ski operators too, but they didn’t harass us and once we’d said no twice they didn’t bother us again. Quite a beach community going on in Paynes which we liked. The beach is quite wide and is bordered mostly by private apartments/villas. We’ve been to Paynes numerous times and always have one day there on our trip.
