Situated at the base of Cheddar Gorge, (Britain's largest inland gorge) The Riverside Inn offers a large, family friendly pub with something for everyone.The pub itself can be split into 5 areas. 1 Lounge Bar, 2 Sports Bar, 3 Restaurant, 4 Garden and 5 Kids Play Area.Our sports bar (With Sky Sports) has 3 televisions independently operated allowing for maximum sports coverage, along with Seating for 40 plus ample standing room, with food served all day. We also provide a Dart Board when live events aren't on. For when sport isn't on we use our jukebox system linked to both internal and external speakers to add a little life to the evening. The lounge bar offers a contrasting atmosphere to the lively active sports bar with food available and Seating for 35+. Sink into one of our leather sofas or take a seat at one of the tables, just be sure to relax, then sit back and enjoy. We offer a range of daily papers for your convenience as-well as a selection of local media to take with you. Just through from our lounge bar is our Restaurant and Conservatory. Capable of Seating 90 our Restaurant offers views of the gorge and surrounding hills, as-well as a look at the river Yeo as it runs on by. In the restaurant we offer table service. The restaurant is also available for full or part hire. Ideal for use as a function room for dining parties, whatever your need, we will always do our utmost to accommodate. Sadly, at this time, we have to mention we are not licensed for weddings, however we are always more than happy to help with the reception.Bookings can be taken for the restaurant internally by phone or email. Round the back of the pub is the Garden and Kids Play area. With Seating for 180+ outside there's plenty of room to enjoy yourselves. The river Yeo is situated at the back of the garden over our very own little river. Behind the sports bar is our patio area with heat lights, covered smoking area and music available. Our non smoking decked area is also covered with heat lights for those with children or those wishing to avoid smoking areas. As with inside, food is served all day but for outside you will need to order at the bar.
