We live locally but hadn't been to the Palmwood since new owners took over and after going last week we won't be back anytime soon! In the past you had to wait for a table on the patio but this wasn't the case last week, it seems the customers have gone somewhere else.
The service was good but the food was very mediocre. The prices have increased and the food quality has decreased.
The thing going for the Palmwood is the location looking out on Lake Erie but the hard plastic seats are very uncomfortable. I ended up with a numb rear end!

This little Italian restaurant is highly recommended. Their ministroni soup is the best around. Make sure you select a couple items as everything on their menu is absolutely delicious. We drive 40 minutes to go here regularly. Do yourself a favour and try this place.

Family friendly restaurant , excellent food , good value and large portions. They have roast beef, chicken, ham, liver, fish, sandwiches, salads, soup, desserts just to name a few things on the menu.
Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes on weekends , it is a very popular restaurant. It is worth the wait.
The atmosphere is friendly and family run, the decor is dated but doesn't effect the experience.

The owners squeezed us in on a Saturday night and were very friendly and accommodating. My lamb with green onions was. Wet good as was my daughter's vegetables and tofu. Daughter #2 ordered beef fried rice which wasn't very good, but I don't care for it and she liked it. The view of the river is also great so try and get a seat near the windows.

Dropped in for a late morning breakfast. Coffee was good and continuous. Had standard eggs and sausage. All ok but would have liked link sausage for breakfast. Had clam chowder on the blackboard special menu but were all out. Nothing special here.

We had heard various reports about this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with our visit. Although the decor was a bit dated, the restaurant itself is bright, spacious and clean. I ordered the Greek Burger and my wife had the Pesto Chicken Panini and both were very good. We opted for a green salad with blue cheese dressing on the side. The salad was good (other than the under ripe tomatoes) and the dressing was excellent with chunks of blue cheese. The service was prompt and friendly and our meal was less than $20.00 before tip and tax.

Located at 423 Derby Rd. (corner of Erie Rd.) Crystal Beach's newest eatery is up and running. Featuring a wonderful and wide ranging menu, from appetizers to home made desserts, and everything in between, you're sure to find something to tantalize your taste buds.
It was pretty busy on a snowy weeknight. I like the tea coming with a separate pot of hot water. A nice and appreciated detail.
We ordered a burger and a baked fish plate. The burger was okay, nothing too exciting. The fish was over cooked and accompanied by boiled frozen veg. A boring dish that wouldn’t take much to improve, but improvement it needs.
Service by Shannon was friendly and the best part of a the experience.

The Scuttlebutt is a family owned eatery with all homemade fare from burgers, steak subs and bison burgers to pasta and steaks. We are famous for our fresh daily homemade soup of the day and always available Jalapeno Cheddar and French Onion. We offer a large vegetarian and gluten-free selection. There is a great kids menu and a nice little wine selection. We are wheelchair accessible and serve lunch, dinner and bar snacks from 11 AM to 11 PM. Our friendly staff and great food will make your visit a really enjoyable one!
Bartender greeted us and sat us at the bar since no tables were available yet. She got us drinks and sat us at a table as soon as one came open. Then the bar and restaurant got busier, and we waited an extraordinary amount of time to order because the bartender was apparently the only waitress for both the restaurant and bar. She knew most patrons by name so this is evidently a popular place for locals and everybody at the bar seemed to be well taken care of. We waited 45 minutes to get our food, and just as we were about to get up and go somewhere else, the meal arrived. My husband was missing the French Fries that were supposed to accompany his Sandwich, and the waitress said they had run out but were making more. He shared mine, but by the time his fries arrived, we were completely finished eating and ready for our check. The food was good, but based on our wait time and lack of service, I would not return. Maybe hiring more staff would be helpful to keep everything running smoothly for the whole restaurant and not just patrons at the bar.

❤️️❤️️❤️️This is the best breakfast in all of South Niagara. The food is so great and worth the wait. The customers are usually standing out the door on weekends. There are plenty of options. They do have a lunch menu during the weekdays that is yummy too. I always love their homemade soups and homemade kettle chips. My favourite breakfast is the Eggs Benedict! The staff is always friendly. I wish they were open for dinner too.

It's a family restaurant open over 50 years with the 2nd generation working hard We serve Cantonese & Canadian Dishes. We seat up to 450 person with a outdoor patio.
Stopped before going to Niagara Falls today for lunch. I had the chicken with cashew nuts- huge portion- didn't come with any rice, but had an order of the pork fried rice which was fabulous! So yummy!! Nice chunks of vegetables and sprouts! My daughters got the sweet and sour chicken lunch special which included wonton soup or hot and sour soup, egg roll or spring roll. You can tell they make their own egg rolls, not the frozen kind. Looking for great Chinese- this is the place to eat!!
