There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe the greatness of the food at this restaurant. It is a remarkably simple little place toward the end of the world in Chile. The food is out of the world. Brilliant choice of ingredients, unusual combinations and perfect presentation. Literally the best meal I have ever had. Go here if you are on the island. You will fall in love with the food. The service is a great match. English menu if you wish. Brilliant.

I came for vacation this summer to Chiloe and I stopped at Dalcahue visiting the great church here. As I couldn't have a good breakfast in the hostal I was at, I found this coffee shop to have a Latte and was the best desition ever! Then I went to Achao, and I came back in the evening to have another coffee and a Raspberry küchen. Both were perfect by the way. This place has everything. Good food, great ambience, nice service, just to mention something would be to have a menu in English for tourists. But kindness of the staff make this place unique in this side of the world. Good job!

Horrible. Un consejo, ni se asome.

In my eternal quest on finding new places to have something on a Sunday here in Chiloe I came across this great place.
Right in the seafront of Dalcahue, it offers a good variety of cakes, pies, coffee, sandwiches and beer.
It might not be perfect, but it is quite good. The coffee tastes great and you can tell it is a good quality one. Pies were really nice and I´m looking forward to try their salmon Sandwich next Sunday.
The service was good, but she kept on forgetting some things, we could still forgive that after some nice pies.
GOOD JOB!

This really felt like authentic Chiloe Island fare. This off-the-beaten path haunt of locals and backpackers serves up authentic empanadas, papa rellenos, and soups (lamb, beef, chicken). It is very inexpensive. The helpful staff and locals guided us in our selections. I particular enjoyed circling the various food stalls in search of the most appetizing food--all the while enjoying watching the cooks at work.
Note: Have Chilean pesos on hand since not all vendors accept USD or credit cards.

Having travelled 7 countries with our car and having traveled over 50 000 km with have come across several restaurants. This was one of the worst places.. The salmon
was cooked so badlly you couldn't even cut it..I just took some bites and gave it back..
I didnt want to reorder my friend ate it . After finishing she offered me a plate which
looked better but i clearly refused the dish and asked the bill.. They charged the
whole 2 menus.. and even a tip of 10 percent which she insisted to pay. I refused .
No Excuse nothing when we left the restaurant noone was around they were hiding.
My feeling that something was wrong with the food was confirmed my friend got sick from the food later which was probably from the bad oil of the french frites.. Just don't go there very unfriendly staff and if they spot you as tourist you get the worst dishes..

We went there last Friday. Half of the things we wanted to ordered - and were in the menu - weren´t available. But the menu is quite complete so there were other options.
It took them about 50 minutes to prepare 3 salads, some fries and stakes, I think it is a bit too much.
The food was OK, nothing to come back for, but we enjoyed it.
In the end, the service was slow, the food ok, and it is expensive for what it is. There are plenty more options in Dalcahue that are cheaper wand way better.
I wound´t go back.
