Cairo’s an ancient city that also happens to be a modern metropolis—it’s one of the biggest cities in the Middle East and has the traffic and noise issues to prove it. But as long as you’re not looking for solitude, Cairo—the City of the Thousand Minarets—is a splendid place to explore Egyptian history and culture. Everything about the Birdcage is pure Thailand, from the exotic water feature at the door to the authentic etiquette displayed throughout your meal. What will really transport you across the continent; however, are the sizzling sounds and enticing aromas from the open kitchen, where Chef Narong creates Thai specialties such as Garlic Pepper Shrimp, Cashew Chicken and Crispy Rice with Peanut Sauce.Location: In the Semiramis InterContinental Hotel - 2nd level Services: Lunch | Dinner

Sabaya may be rooted in Lebanese tradition, but Chef Nasser Makhoul is willing to branch out with contemporary flair. Mezzas are the magic of the menu, with hot and cold options including Kebbe Nayye, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Hommow Bil Awarma, Makanik and Cheese Manaqish. In accordance with Lebanese custom, you’ll be brought to the lounge for after-dinner tea, sweets and conversation.Location: In the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo Hotel - 2nd level Services: Lunch | Dinner
As a Lover of lebanese Food I tried Sabaya. There was a warm welcome, seats are a little bit unconfy and lights are not very good - (I like to read whjen dining alone) I orderes dthe menu with hot and cold mezze, served with a plate of greens and herbs and the plate was quite big for one. Main course was a mixed grill, diferent meats, sauces nice pita bread . Unfortunately the main course came to fast, then the whole meal got cold. Portions are too big. It's enough for two people. Pepermint tea was lovely. Service was good all the time

Home style Italian cooking is given a gourmet twist at this popular restaurant where traditional recipes take on a refined new flavour.
We have stayed in Cairo Citystars Intercontinental hotel for 3 nights and We had our lunch every night in Maestro. Although there are other restaurants in the hotel, we preferred this one due to the quality of food and first class service that have provided. All the employees were so polite and professional. We like to specially thank to manager Mr Khalid, Chef Wael, Hostess Doaa, Omar and assistant manager Hany.

Guests familiar with the flavours and spices of Lebanese cuisine will find them blended to perfection at Fayruz. for newcomers, let the famously friendly staff introduce you over lunch on the outdoor Terrace or an exotic dinner show with live belly dancing. The interior is delightfully authentic and evocative.
I visited this place on my second night in Cairo along with our belly dancing group from South Africa! The belly dance Soraia takes the ambience to an entirely different level. Matched by awesome food and brilliant service, this place is a MUST SEE for all tourists.

From tasty snacks to a la carte meals to full buffet dinners with live cooking by top chefs, the Esplanade offers 24 hours variety without compromising on quality.
I chose this restaurant which is located in the Intercontinental Citystars Hotel on a business trip. The buffet is vast with great quality food. It is definitely worth a visit. My only complaint is hat the staff are trying too hard. They offered to carry my plate around for me whilst serving myself st the buffet which at 54 and healthy I can do myself. The food is great and I would recommend it.

The Grill presents the unique flavors of contemporary, traditional & brasserie French cuisine in an elegant ambience overlooking the Nile. Discover every Friday the Grill’s kitchen secrets for dinner at a great price.
If you're one of those who love meat as much as I do, then you'll fall in love with The Grill, at the Intercon Semiramis.
I recommend the Wagyu servings, it melts in your mouth like butter and honey.
It's good value for money. You'll most probably spend less than 1K Egyptian pounds for 2 people, with a glass of wine each.
The King Salmon on bone is a must for those who love fish. They got you covered! From the sauces to the way they make their fries. It's a meat lovers paradise! Certified as one of Cairo's best kept secrets.
Only the best,
Lucas Raven
