We took the city bus (circular route) from JR Station and reached Nata Temple in less than 20 minutes. It was a quiet place with nice water ponds, moss lawns, pagodas, temples and rocky landscapes. We were a bit late to visit here by end of November and majority of the maple leaves turned brown and began to fall. The temple was being part of Shingon section of buddhism and the wooden structures thereat were really worth to watch and admire. The area was quite large with some of the scenic spots on top of rocky mountain, Kamisama Hill, and you could well have nice panoramic views from the observation platform on the opposite side of the hill. Visitors with physical disabilities and elderly were only recommended to walk on ground level to tour around the main temples. Highly recommend visitors to come here by chance they visit Kagaonsen region.

Great place to stretch legs on a drive. You can get up close to the displays and take photos. Doing the flight simulator on the airliner was great for the kids. The attendant who unlocked the simulator and guided my kids through it on a take-off and landing was great. He speaks enough English to assist English speakers. We were there on a rainy foggy day. Was hoping to see the F-15s from the nearby airbase, but couldn't...so bought an F-15 t-shirt instead. The shop is reasonably priced.

On the premises of 13 thousand pyong, we relocated old houses in the Edo and Meiji Periods, among which local specialties, Wajima coat, Kutanaki, Kaga Yuzen, gold leaf arts. In addition to shopping, you can experience traditional crafts.
This is just another themed park for tourists, but definitely one of the best of its kind. The park’s designed themes are threefold. One is to bring together the rich cultural heritage of Kaga (the old name of the feudal territory under the governance of Lord Maeda); the second is to collect and restore traditional farm houses of architectural merits; and the third is to create a viable tourist amenity. If the number of visitors is an indicative measure, this development project seems to be a resounding success. A good part of this success seems to owe to the tasteful landscaping of over 100 acres that emulates a traditional Japanese village of yesteryears.
The feudal lord Maeda (the inheritable title and position under the Tokugawa Shogunate Era) was not only powerful, politically and economically, but was well-known for good governance. Under its tutelage several crafts were promoted in order to enhance the livelihood of populace on the one hand and, at the same time, to enrich the clan’s household through trading of valued craft products, the most famous of which is Kutani ceramic ware. The scale of such craft industries was such that the area became the veritable manufacturing center of gold leaf that was used to a wide range of high-quality craft products produced in this region and beyond.
One additional feature of the premises is the facility for those visitors who are interested in some craft making to have hands-on experience. The accessibility by public transportation is good, as the nearest railway station is only 10 minutes walk away.

Quiet and peaceful park. We decided not to go Kenrokuen in Kanazawa but instead detour to this park. What we saw was a beautiful garden well taken care of. The resident is so fortunate to have such a garden which to us, its just as good as the kenrokuen. A school is nearby but it is so peaceful in this neighborhood.
