The restaurant in Swosti Hotel near the BBSR Railway Station is one entity that seems to have remained rooted to its best traditions and practices for the 15 years I have known the place, In early 2000's this was one restaurant you could take visitors/friends to, for a relaxed, nice meal. When I came back to BBSR after a gap of 12 years, went there again. Little seems to have changed. Very few restaurants have middle-aged service staff these days. This one is an exception. The food continues to be well made, tasty and reasonable portioned. Wish they had expanded the space a bit more and made the spacing bit more relaxed.

I can thoroughly recommend the buffets offered at dinner and at breakfast. They cater for all tastes, and are still prepared to cook anything else you might want.

Authentic Odia cuisine, both Veg and non Veg
I visited Bhubaneswar to catch a flight to Kuala Lumpur and as I had 2 hours extra time I decided to try Oriya food and what better place to try it here at Dalma than any other restaurant. I visited it at 7 Pm and there was no one inside the place and luckily for me all the dishes were available.
I ordered all it's famous dishes like "Dalma" [Rs.55 plus taxes], "Bamboo Mutton" [Rs.220 plus taxes] and others like Chakuli [Rs.15 plus taxes], Chingudi Dalma [Rs.140 plus taxes], Dahi Pakhala Half [Rs.35 plus taxes] with Sada Bhata Full [Rs.45 plus taxes]. All these dishes were good but the namesake dish "Dalma" is the best.
We ended the meal by ordering three desserts Kheeri [Rs.50 plus taxes], Cheena Jhilli [Rs.40 plus taxes] and Rassabali [Rs.40 plus taxes]. All of these are good but "Kheeri" is the best.

I have been visiting this joint since it's inception. The quality of food is very good and taste is unparalleled.
The only area of improvement is the quality of service. There is absolutely no improvement in the same. I sincerely wish they improve on the same.
We pay the extra amount just for the service. Tasty food is also available at other restaurants at cheaper price.

Went there for lunch and had some chapli kabab, biriyani and methi chicken. All those were delicious. The service was good, but one thing I didn't like is - the waiters just kept on coming again and again to the table. That's too much from the service point. May be in India people who go to eat out want that extra attention. In my opinion the food was certainly overpriced. Overall a nice place to eat in Bhubaneswar.

Have been there couple of times. The reason why we go so far out from Bhubaneswar for food, is that there are a few speciality dishes being served here which are not available in town. To name a few are Bamboo Mutton (probably get chicken version as well but I have not tried), Mati handi Mutton (mutton cooked in clay pot), Garlic chicken (dry chicken item with fried garlic), fried prawn, mughlai chicken, etc. But to be honest I would rate the food as average and not something to die for. Felt like they were cooked first and then just served in bamboos. They have both open air and AC Seating - but never got any of those AC ones, as they always seem to be booked.
The service is fast but not very hygienic. You can go there may be to try something different, in terms of food and ambience but nothing great.
There are 2 Jungle view restaurants side by side - I have tried the one which comes first after the U turn. The other one is worse as heard.
