We went in winter, and had a delicious dinner. Great salads, soups, and entrees, including a terrific tafelspitze. Wines are a bit more limited, but still fine. Service was casual and friendly. Book ahead...cosy means small!

Wine Bar
Our first visit was 2 years ago, since then we kept in touch with Sabina and Georg on Facebook so when we were flying home from Indonesia we decided to stop by! Sabina did not disappoint. The flammkuchen was absolutely delicious and the selection of wines is superb! Sabina and Georg are fabulous host and Weinliebe's atmosphere is charming and comfortable. Great excuse to stop be Germany!!!!!

On holiday, I love places that are not 'touristy', a place where the locals go. Genusserie is such a place. It is warm, inviting and run by an exciting young couple who host you as if it were their home.
Alexandra (Alex) takes care of your standard drinks orders and food (meze style cuisine) while Tim prepares the most unbelievable cocktails.
Their cocktail selection is simply out of this world. I counted over 80 different rum cocktails and there were several other sections too! As it is, their rum selection includes over 250 different types!
It is a short trip outside of Frankfurt (20min by train). Taxi may be more expensive, depending on where you stay. It is well worth it. You can also look them up on Facebook.

When I saw the French fries on one of the plates being served, I had my doubts about the authenticity of this Mexican bar and restaurant, but they proved me wrong.
My veggie burrito was delicious, with the re-fried beans a bit spicier than usual. Although the nachos were not homemade, they had been warmed before serving and the salsa and guacamole were both good. The corn on the cob was also buttery and good.
One person in our group had the spare ribs and told everyone over the course of the next two days that they were the best he had ever eaten.
If you can get a seat outside on the balcony overlooking the Nidda river and the park, it makes for a nicer meal. The front patio does not have much atmosphere or view, but it is quiet.
Overall, I surprising find in Bad Vilbel.

We (my wife and two kids) have been there several times in September and October 2014. It is a classical italian pizzeria with a pizza wood oven. The owners are very nice with all the customers. The pizzas are excellent: we had margherita, prosciutto and prosciutto e funghi and they came very good. As per the food, we had spaghetti alla bolognese, spaghetti al pesto and gnocchi al pomodoro gratinati: they were excellent, cooked as you could cook by yourself at home. Finally, we tried as well grilled calamari and cozze al pomodoro and they were great. Finally, it is important to notice that the prices are fair.

This restaurant is like a raw diamond. The pizza is huge, with a thin dough and tastes delicious, as one would be in Italy. The menu is small with some daily pasta specials.
Unfortunately the ambience doesn't keep up with the food quality. There are only a few tables and probably most people order pizza for take away. It's definetly not a restaurant you take your girl friend out for a nice dinner. But the stuff is very friendly.

We ordered Pizza at Il Sorriso and the service was great. They knew the address and it did not take long to deliver our order. The pizza was super delicious. We will definitely order/dine here again.

Stayed nearby and nearly strolled by this place. Didn't appear on my travel app. The food was fantastic. In particular the octopus and goats cheese starter was fantastic.

I had booked a few tables for our team during a congress. There were some last minute changes, but the owner was great in accomodating our group.
Both my colleagues and myself loved the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the hostess/owner was really nice. Go in hungry, because you will want to try everything and the portions are quite big!
I will definitely keep this restaurant in mind for future visits in Frankfurt!
