Lovely restaurant close to the square with the food cooked excellently, the service was very good The sweets were wonderful. The whole meal was to a high standard
Would certainly recommend and eat there again. A truly happy Italian restaurant experience.
We sat outside and it was another friendly set of waitresses that were very pleasant and helpful.

Chef Beppe Sardi was a perfect host; the selection of Piedmontese antipasti was artfully disposed on the plate, and each one offered different textures and flavours from mild to powerful: starting with a freshly chopped and minimally seasoned carne cruda, cleaning the palate with a salata russa, on to a well-balanced vitello tonnato and finally fresh anchovies.
The palate was whetted for the very fine risotto that Chef Beppe then served. He admitted that risotto was his personal specialty, and I must admit that this was THE risotto that I've had that will remain in memory.
We had wines by the glass, and the Grignolino was a real discovery for us: a 2-year old local red that looked more like a dark rosé, fruity and balanced.
Reasonable prices, comfortable and attractive setting, outstanding service and food well above average. Definitely recommended !

We wanted to go to Trattoria La Piola on Saturday for lunch. According to their opening hours, they were open, but unfortunately, the doors were shut without any announcement. Very disappointing, since we planned our lunch break in the morning and were very hungry and looked forward to eat in exactly this trattoria. Also the opening hours on the entrance door stated that the trattoria should be open.

I've been at this Indian restaurant Swagat recently, on a Saturday night, took advantage of the offer of 10% off the bill for customers who book online the table and that's what we did.
Saturday evening does not matter if your table is reserved but the restaurant is packed up and we had to wait a while, in the meanwhile we were kindly offered a bottle of Indian beer for the waiting, good idea and very kind from them.
Once we got the table we took a look at the menu so we had lots of chooses among plenty of vegetarian and not. Serving time fast enough, staff very kind and food delicious, even the Indian's desert were greats. We have been also greeted at the end with special Indian seeds or sweeteners good for digestion all into a marvelous silver box.
I think this is one of the best restaurant in town and probably throughout the whole Alessandria provinces.
We will definitely come back again and foe whome who love Indian food this is the right place in terms of food and service, I've never personally rated 5 stars into my review but this deserves it.

Good Restaurant, but not a Michelin Star. VERY simplistic Dining room. NO view whatsoever! NO flair!
We wanted to sleep there, too, reserved in advance. Got a reservation confirmation, but was later cancelled, just before the trip!!! . Stated "full", but there was nobody there after we left the Restaurant.
VERY good at handling a reclamation during Dinner, though.
4 stars - not more.

Ok, this "churrascaria" has its pluses indeed:
The meat: the "picanha" was exquisite. Real good indeed. At the level you can have in Brazil.
The service: maybe the highest point of the restaurant. The waiters are almost all Brazilian, then always smiling, acting very nicely toward the clients. All in all not a blind spot in this matter.
The atmosphere: I didn't find it Brazilian other than some flags and Rio videos on lcd screens around. It's much more about International cosine restaurant. Ideal place for business dinners.
The "churrasco" side dishes: this is the factor that prevent this place to be excellent. Poor side dishes. For example...more fried bananas are needed, more fried potatoes, rice all around, farofa and today...every Brazilian Churrascaria has sushi.
Value: for the quality of meat available, the value is good.
Finally, if you are passing by Alessandria this "churrascaria" is a must, if you don't (like me) it still worths an expedition. More than that? Stationing in a city located in 90km from Alessandria, I wouldn't come back just for the restaurant.

This restaurant was just a delight from the minute the door opened! It feels strange choosing to sit indoors when there are so many options outside but the service, the food and the ambiance is so fabulous that you soon forget you are indoors. We laughed from start to finish and were spoilt with incredible Italian food and wine. Our best night in Italy and a night we will never forget!
