Peak on Durmitor Mountain
This location is not for children under 7 years old. Amazing and stuning view is inspiration even for mountain passionate travellers. On 2000 m. that is possible to reach by car this place offers beauty in all his pureness. It is easly reached by normal walk and under must see for every visitor of Durmitor Nacional Park. Get warm clothes and go when the weather is warmer if possible without wind. Get spiritual journey for just a second of viewing entire circle around mighty mountain Durmitor.

It is the deepest canyon in Europe, and second deepest in the world after the Grand Canyon of Colorado, USA. 78km long, and up to 1.300m deep, this "tear of Europe", as it is also called, is a great natural and tourist attraction not only in the area, but in the entire country.
Whether the Tara Canyon deserves the label Biggest in Europe is debatable; but its an attractive place non the less
I took a 200km circuit through the Tara Canyon and the highlands of Montengro. There may not be many historical sights on this route but the scenery is magnificent. The stunning road to Zabljak was the best going deep into the canyon with only a small amount of traffic.

The Centre houses the natural history collection of the National Park, a shop selling souvenirs, handicraft items, as well as a room for the screening of films with a capacity of 30 visitors. It is located in the main building of the National Park, and it is a place where you can receive all information related to the tourist offer of the area.
This center just outside the entrance to Durmitor, was a real disappointment, especially compared to the wonderful hiking and views we had just completed in the park. We stopped in on the way back to our hotel. There was no one to greet you, and the few souls in the building were upstairs in a cigarette-clogged atmosphere enjoying conversation with each other rather than any tourists. The few items in the museum were meaningless without an interpreter...

Only 3km away from the centre of Zabljak, Malo (Small) and Veliko (Big) Lakes merge into Crno (Black) Lake. This lake is specific for its dark blue shade of water, which often seems black, and the effect is created by the Lake's depth and the dense Durmitor pine forest surrounding it.
As with any lake be ready for a long walk. We went for the day and walked all the way around the lake in about 4 hours. Very picturesque lake and surroundings.

Definitely worth see if you are passing close to this place. Bridge itself looks amazing, and the view to the canyon are just incredible. Additionally, next to the bridge there is an opportunity for zip line ride, and there are few points where you can buy typical household products.

The altitude of the Zminje lake is 1.520m, and its greatest depth is 7,7m. It is surrounded by a dense forest of spruce and other conifers, and is located at the spring of Mlinski (Mill) Creek.
We did a four hour hike from our hotel (Soa) through the forest and visited both Crno Jezero (Black Lake) and Zminje Jezero (Snake Lake). We had pretty damp weather and the hike through the forest was very muddy and slippery at times. This was the only time during our two week trip to Montenegro that I wished I had packed my hiking boots. Our trainers got very dirty and we slipped a few times over the forest terrain. It was a relatively easy hike, but we had the advantage of a mountain guide to lead the way for us. It is worth visiting both lakes because they are quite different from each other. Zminje Jezero is smaller, quieter and totally enclosed within the forest. The water looked very clean, but there is a lot of vegetation growing up to the edge and into the lake, which I would imagine, make getting in and out for a swim pretty tricky.

Rafting and camping in the heart of the Durmitor National Park in the Tara Canyon under the big bridge. Rafting is most exciting and attractive in this part of Europe. The whole place is under UNESCO protection. Camping on the river Tara will do it again live up to its unspoiled nature and born again.
If u go rafting in summer do not expect any thrills. Yes it is stunning scenery and our guide was great.... But you may find greater adventure if you for a hike. Best time to raft is April/May.

The Jablan Lake is located on an altitude of 1.791m above sea level. It is located in the foothills of mountain peak Crvena greda. The lake's depth reaches 8.5m.
I enjoyed it very much! You will see amazing view of a landscape and it changes during the trip) It is really very beautiful. It is a little hard to get there by car and GP and it probably would be better to go with guide )))

We didn't know what to expect from the skiing in Montenegro -we have previously skied in Finland and the Alps. The Mountains are very impressive and there could be lots of more tourism in this beautiful place all in all. In Savin Kuk there were only two ski lifts working (out of 4) in the end of March, other went really high and the other was more for practitioners. Snow was excellent for snowboard at least and we did awesome offpiste-routes. And it was cheap: 10€ for the ski lift and 10€ for the equipments. So we were really happy in the end of the day!

We took a guided half-day hike from Zabljak through some pastoral areas into the Durmitor park and up some moderately steep trails to finally reach the rim of this large canyon. We climbed about 600m overall (guess) and travelled about 17km. Unlike the Grand Canyon in Arizona, this canyon is fertile and green. On a clear day you can see Bosnia in the distance. Must see if you like moderately strenuous hikes (1.5-2 boot)
